Skye Terriers

Not the biggest entry but it was certainly a quality one. Dogs & handlers coped well with the gusty conditions. I was very pleased with my line up for the CCs in both sexes.

PGD (2)

1 Large’s Juger Edelweiss Mickey Mouse is Madaza;

2 McCleod’s Juger Edelweiss Me Myself And I at Esgia, two imported litter brothers & both drops which was a lovely way to start the entry. Very similar in proportions & outline & little to choose between them. 2 was lower to the ground but the first was a bit more together . 1’s coat is changing at the moment but it was straighter. Both had good heads with heads in proportion to their bodies. Will change places many times I would think.

LD (1)

1 Bailey’s Talyot Nimrod by Marjayn, nice sized cream boy & everything in proportion, just right for length to height proportions, super headed boy, lovely black ear fringes, super straight coat. Is a slow maturer so there is more to come here I would think.

OD (5,1)

1 Curtis’ Ch Brakemill Barnum, last time I judged the breed this lovely boy had the RCC out of junior & I have given him a terrier show BIS since then so it is no secret that I like him a lot. He is now as his mature best. He possesses a classic head which is totally in proportion to his body, lovely ear fringes, he has a super outline, a beautiful level topline, a lovely straight coat which is well presented & he moves around the ring with a sound effortless gait showing his pads as he goes to demonstrate correct drive. A well deserved CC & BOB;

2 Breeze’s Salena The Magnificent One, a glamorous eyecatcher with a super neck which he knows how to use. Lovely to go over, good head, is long & low with a lovely straight coat coming through. Excellent rear. He is still young & still has some maturing to do but is clearly going to be a force to be reckoned with.

PGB (3,1)

1 Burscough’s Glorfindel Shadow Wings at Kilfinan, mature 2 year old, in good coat, nice outline, good neck & topline, feminine. Won the class on maturity;

2 McCleod’s Noap Charoit Madlen Mardzheriat Esgia, really promising, a bit raw at the moment but scores heavily in body proportions, head & movement. I look forward to seeing her as she develops.

LB (2,1)

1 Whincup’s Bunnybois Inspiration, 2 years old & quite mature in body, low to the ground, decent outline, nice straight coat, good rear & of good type.

OB (3,1)

1 Breeze’s Salena Silver Saphire, an interesting contest between 1 & 2. This precocious lady is litter sister to the RDCC & surprisingly is a little more forward. Very glamorous, lovely outline, lovely head, super neck & shoulders, great rear, coat coming in really well & excellent presentation. Her exuberance won me over. A well deserved first CC;

2 Curtis’ Ch Brakemill Briar Rose, another favourite of mine & had the RCC off me last time I judged. Now fully mature, super head, lovely outline, well presented & moved effortlessly.
