SKYE THREE COUNTIES 09 Judge/s:Mrs C Garland-Collins
Skye Terriers All had good mouths. PD (0). JD (1) 1 King’s Celticbridge North Wind, cream with black points, reasonable length & good topline, enough neck & good layback of shoulder. Needs to tighten a little at the elbow. Enough coat for age of good harsh texture. Would just like a more masculine head. Moved OK. PGD (3,1a) 1 Hawkes & Mason’s Maridale Blueys Beach, dark silver, very masculine, pleasing well furnished head & dark eye, adequate neck & good tight front, well ribbed up, good body length & topline, plenty of quality coat, reasonable movement. Seemed to give his handler a hard time on what was a very warm day; 2 King’s Celticbridge Moonlight, feeling the heat a little. Good dark eye & well placed ears, enough neck. Level topline on the move but let it go a little when stood. Body length good & plenty of muscle on hindquarters. Preferred substance & front of 1. OD (2) 1 Breeze’s Salena Black Shadow, dark grey, great overall elegance without any hint of narrowness, lovely well furnished head, well set nicely fringed ears, dark eye & superb neck, sound front & well laid shoulders, good length of body & correct topline, nicely muscled hindquarters & did not disappoint on the move taking it all in his stride. Plenty of good quality coat & top drawer presentation. Could just fall out with his tail if I had to be picky. BOB; 2 Curtis’ Gushoe Bugsy Malone of Brakemill, 5 years black, very masculine, lovely bone & good head, front as it should be with good depth of chest & layback of shoulder, plenty of length. Level topline on the move but just let it down a little when standing. Well muscled hindquarters, moved out with confidence & style. Harsh coat but it could do with a little more length. A touch higher on leg than 1. RBD. PB (0). JB (1) 1 Richardson’s Talyot Katy, very feminine, pretty, dark silver, very sweet head & expression, dark eye, well set ears nicely fringed, good neck. Front needs to tighten a little but good length of body & topline OK, moved with purpose & has a lovely quality coat of good length & texture, sympathetically handled. RBB. PGB (1) 1 King’s Celticbridge Stormy Waters, very feminine dark silver, very nice head & muzzle proportions, dark eye, excellent front, good layback of shoulder & enough neck, good body length & firm topline on the move & stood, moved out well using her hard muscled hindquarters to good effect. Harsh coat but really needs more of it as she does tail length. Couldn’t match BD for overall quality & style for BOB but a worthy BB. OB (1) A. CORINNE GARLAND-COLLINS Go To Top Of Page |
