SKYE JUDGE SOUTH WALES 22

What a pleasure to finally be able to undertake this appointment. Thank you to the Committee for their hospitality and to my wonderful and very efficient stewards. When I saw the BOB, BCC and BP winners go round together I was delighted and really felt they were three of a kind, I wish them all continued success

JD (1)

1 De Leie’s Verumamicus Cicero – good proportions to head with dark eyes. Strong neck though a little out at elbow I felt. Good length to body and short loin.Strong in rear and tail set off back. Plenty of hard, straight, clearing cream coat with correct undercoat. Moved steadily holding topline.

PGD (1)

1 Mason’s Bhatairnis Fasach – dark silver with lovely flat, hard coat and soft undercoat. Dark, close set eyes and decent length to head. A bit taller than I prefer but of good body length and angulation in front. Struggling to hold topline at times but moved steadily.

LD (2)

1 Shuttleworth’s Whicheeta Walk The Walk – good length to head, though maybe could be a shade wider, such expressive dark eyes. Lovely crest to neck with balanced angulation fore and aft and well shaped feet, strong in bone. Pleasing length to body. On the move this silver in super correct jacket moved with purpose and activity, showing pads and with correctly held tail. RCC

2 Heath’s Lavauxs Bahamian Chris- another pleasing silver , preferred his head with that little more width but just a little short in overall length I felt. Super, double coat of correct texture. Held topline both on the stack and moving, tail held well.

OD (1)

1 Ryan’s CH Flanagan Energizer at Feorlig (IMP SVK) – masculine head, strong in jaw and good proportions.Dark, expressive, close set eyes, well set ears and slight crest to neck. Well made all through with balanced angulation and short loin. Good depth to chest and strong bone. Long, low and level in a well presented hard straight cream coat. His movement was so active and effortless, and true fore and aft with pads showing. CC and BOB, and Terrier Group 3, congratulations!

PB (2)

1 Grainger’s Black Cuillins Catriona (IMP DEU), enchanting cream in plenty of correct coat and full of personality. Super head, strong jaw and decent length to neck. Well bodied with depth to chest and good angulation, long, low and level . Held topline at all times and liked her angulation. Moved happily and actively with correct tail carriage. So promising. BP and Terrier Puppy Group 2, congratulations!

2 Shuttleworth and Whincup’s – Wondersky Wish You Were Here at Whicheeta (IMP USA) TAF – a wee sweetie with plenty of character, dark brindle coat coming through and head developing nicely. A bit finer all through with length to leg and level held topline. Not as settled on the move as winner today.

JB (3)

1 Ryan’s Classic Touch Of Morningsky With Feorlig (IMP DEU) – silver brindle with a very pleasing outline and correct double coat.Good head shape and proportions, dark eye and graceful fringing. Plenty of bone with good feet and liked her angulation front and rear. Depth to chest and good length to ribbing.Level topline both stacked and on the move, effortless and true. RCC

2 Curtis’ Brakemill Midsummer Dream –really liked this silver brindle too, again pleasing head and good bone and coat. Level topline but today just falling away at rump and moved the same way, though with activity.

3 Heale’s Rhoderns Helena – attractive head on this clearing cream with hard, flat coat. Just a bit narrow all through yet.

PGB 2(1)

1 Heath’s Skyeshire Rosie – pleasing cream in super, double jacket, feminine head and black points. Crest to neck sweeping into shoulder though a little out at elbow I felt. Good for height and depth of chest though I would prefer more lengthoverall. Level topline held on the move and moving actively.

OB

1 Curtis’ CH Verumamicus Aurora Of Brakemill JW - beautiful, classic mature bitch with strength and length to head ,strong jaw and crest to neck.Well off for bone, firm feet. Liked her balanced angulation and depth to chest. Short enough in loin, and long, low and level. Well presented cream hard, flat coat with undercoat. Moved so smoothly, effortlessly and true, with well held tail. CC. Just a little less fluid in movement in the final challenge.
