SKYE SOUTH WALES 13 Judge(s): MRS F M CHAPMAN-KING Skye Terriers PD & JD A. PGD (1) 1 Curtis’ Brakemill Barnum, Stood alone, but typical & quality cream dog, with black points. Strong balanced masculine head, of good length, good eye, & expression. Correct forehand, long bodied, excellent level topline which he held on the move, low to ground & good strong quarters. Correct tail & carriage, moved out very well. Coat of excellent quality & texture. Needs to body up to finish the picture. This young dog is already a strong contender for top honours & pushed hard in the challenge. RCC. LD (1) 1 Parker’s Glorfindel Deacon Brodie, dark silver with a pleasing temperament, is of good body length & overall proportions. Pleasing expression strong jaw & correct bite. Good quarters & moved out well. Could have a stronger skull & flatter coat. OD (3) 1 Breeze’s Ch Salena The Special One, well known stylish dark silver, of correct overall make & shape. Pleasing forehand & neck. Standing level on the stack, good ribbing, & well bodied, good quarters. Pleasing muzzle & expression. Could have a touch stronger skull & better ear carriage. Ears well fringed. Coat flat & immaculately presented however, a touch soft & had a ‘just washed’ feel. Moved out well in the dog challenge to win CC. In the challenge for BOB, did not hold his topline or tail carriage on the move, & had to give way to the super typy bitch, who was foot perfect. VD (2) 1 Ankcorn’s Feorlig True Destiny of Pensford, cream with black points & is typical in outlook. Pleasing head, good body & correct length. Ribbed up & shown in good coat & order. Moved out well enough; 2 Hawkes & Mason’s Maridale Blueys Beach, typy black, with a strong masculine head, good layback, ribbed up, & long bodied. Carrying too much weight to his disadvantage. Moved out OK. GCD (0). PB (0). JB (1) 1 Hartfield’s Gumshoe Shot In The Dark at Monshanta, feminine, black, with a good skull & eye. Could have a stronger muzzle. Long bodied & low, well angulated quarters. Needs to mature in body, moved out well enough. PGB (2,1a) 1 King’s Glorifindel Spring Sunrise foe Celticbridge, dark silver with a feminine head, OK in shoulder good ribbing & strong quarters. Long bodied, lost her topline on the move. In good textured coat. LB (2,1) 1 Curtis’ Brakemill Briar Rose, a most typical, quality, & pleasing silver. Feminine, yet strong head & typical expression. Good ears & carriage, lacking in many exhibits today. Pleasing forehand & neckline. Good bone; correct ribbing carried well back & deep enough. Long, low & level on the stack & on the move. Coat a touch immature in finish perhaps, but enough & of correct texture, well presented. Shown & handled without fuss & in understated style to bring out the best. Moved consistently true with style, & made her presence felt. I had no hesitation in awarding her CC & BOB. OB (4) 1 Woodhead’s Ch Knowlespring Mistletoe, typical cream with black points, with a feminine strong head & pleasing expression. Well ribbed up, long, low & holding her topline. Strong quarters which she used on the move, shown in good coat & order. In the challenge, preferred the forehand, neck & ear carriage of the LB close up. RCC; 2 Breeze’s Salena Certain Something, silver, not the head properties of 1. Pleasing neckline & clean shoulders. Good ribbing & long bodied, could have stronger quarters. Moved well enough; 3 Shuttleworth’s Whicheeta Celtic Crusader. VB (1) 1 Shuttleworth’s Perrylands Stroller cum Whicheeta, black with a strong skull & good eye, good ears & carriage.
