Skye Terriers

PD (2,1a)

1 Large’s Juger Edelweiss Mickey Mouse is Madaza, 8 month old dark cream drop ear. Well developed puppy for age, long & level with strong hocks which enabled him to move out soundly.

JD (2)

1 Thomson’s Glorfindel Shadow Boxer, dark silver dog with a strong masculine head. Straight front, long in body but would have preferred a longer length of rib. Playing up on the move, when he did settle moved soundly & kept his topline;

2 Large’s Bunnybois Indulgence is Madaza, raw, black youngster who needs to mature. Strong in front while topline needs to firm up.

PGD (1)

1 McLeod’s Esgia Murray’s Olympic Gold, masculine, well muscled black. Excellent strong front, a little lazy at times with his topline. Moved with drive.

LD (1)

1 Stewart’s Glorfindel Secret Service, black masculine dog with a striking headpiece. Straight front but a little heavy in the shoulders. Long & level, enjoyed himself on the move.

OD (7,1)

A strong class, many thanks for bringing them along.

1 Marshall’s Ch Glorfindel Black Mage, mature black dog I have judged before when I gave him the RCC as a youngster. Very much my type of Skye. He has a strong, masculine head with well placed ears which he uses to advantage. Solid front with correctly placed shoulders, length to height ratio correct. Not at his happiest on the move but did enough to convince me that his overall type warranted the CC in good company;

2 Curtis’ Ch Brakemill Barnum, striking cream dog with dark points. Strong in head without being coarse. Good front & rear assembly moved out soundly. Difficult decision between 1 & 2 but preferred overall type & shape of 1. RCC;

3 Miller’s Feorlig Arfur Sixpence.

VD (1)

1 Harrison’s Ir Ch Knowlespring Jail House Rock for Trenson, cream veteran who belied his age. Masculine head with well placed ears. Level topline, good length. Moved soundly.

PB (0).

JB (3)

1 Marshall’s Glorfindel Shadow Witch, beautiful black youngster who was unfortunately extremely unsettled. Very feminine, excellent headpiece with well set ears. Well placed neck & shoulders, great length to height proportions. Will look out for her in the future, once she settles & matures will be one to watch;

2 Garland-Collins’ Bhuidh Ae Fond Kiss, similar in type to 1. Liked her head & expression, correctly shaped front, held her topline on the move;

3 Shuttleworth’s Perrylands Cassidy at Witcheeta.

PGB (2)

1 Marshall’s Skyewalkers Ozone Baby, dark cream bitch. Good shape & size with a strong rib. Moved out well;

2 Smith’s Marrcrieff Glen Glamis, dark silver bitch with black points, well up to size for a bitch. Strong head with well set ears, kept her topline on the move.

LB (2)

1 White’s Gumshoe Silent Witness, my find of the day – beautiful black bitch, loved her head & elegant neck which was missing in other exhibits. Ideal length to height ratio, long, low & level. Kept her topline on the move & moved out soundly. Not keen on her tail carriage but that wasn’t enough to detract from her very obvious qualities. Delighted to award her the CC. For BOB I felt the bitch’s type & style gave her the edge over the DCC winner;

2 Ryan’s Feorlig Romantica, dark silver bitch, heavier type to 1. Good overall shape, well placed shoulders, steady on the move.

OB (2)

1 Curtis’ Ch Brakemill Briar Rose, mature dark silver bitch, strong head with well placed ears, good length of body, level topline. Moved out soundly using her hocks;

2 Barrass’ Lavaux Spirit Of The Isle of Gallondean, well presented dark silver bitch, strong head with well set ears which she used to advantage. Shorter in body than 1, moved soundly with drive.

VB (1)

1 MacQueen’s Ch Azrakhan Capercaillie, lovely black bitch who is carrying her years well. Strong headpiece, good length of neck, long & level body. A little sluggish on the move but did just enough to warrant the RCC.
