SKYE RICHMOND 18 Judge: Paul Eardley (Sherex) BEST OF BREED : 2037 CURTIS Mrs J Ch Brakemill Briar Rose SKYE JUDGE RICHMOND 18 It is always a pleasure to be among the Skyes. This was only a small entry but there was enough quality to make it interesting. VD (1) 1 Parker's Glorfindel Deacon Brodie Sh.CM. I cannot believe that this boy is now a veteran. As is typical of a Skye he is wearing it well. Lovely full dark silver coat, nice steady mover, decent rear and always puts in a good performance. LD (2) 1 Kendrick's Frisco Kiaora At Jeraro (Imp). I awarded this young man a terrier group at an open show earlier in the year and I'm pleased to say that he is fulfilling that early promise. He possesses a super outline and to my eye is absolutely correct for balance length to height. On closer examination he has a super head, lovely ear fringes and good ribbing. Decent rear angulation and drives on the move showing a clean pair of pads. Was really well handled and whenever I looked at him I was presented with that lovely balanced outline. His coat is coming through nicely and is lovely and straight. I was delighted to award him the CC. Should have a very bright future. 2 Large's Juger Edelweiss Mickey Mouse Is Madaza (Imp). Longer and bigger than the winner and to my eye not quite so well balanced. He possesses a super head framed with lovely drop ears, his top line was firm and he was well muscled. OD (3) 1 Breeze's Ch Salena The Magnificent One. This one presents a lovely outline when stacked. He is so well handled and presented which draws the eye. Lovely headed boy. He is to my eye a touch long which means his top line slackens a little on the move. However he is a very worthy champion reserve CC. 2 Woodhead's Knowlespring Drummer Boy. Very much my type. Super headed boy lovely cream with jet black points. Had one of the best rears on show today. Unfortunately he was lacking a bit of coat and body condition. 3 Mcleod's Juger Edelweiss Me Myself And I At Esgia (Imp). PB (2) 1 Curtis' Verumamicus Aurora Of Brakemill. This one is an absolute star in the making. There is very little that I would want to change at this age. Super cream coat, lovely head, beautifully balanced all through with good movement and super tail carriage. I had no hesitation in awarding her the Reserve CC. 2 Large's Parrima-arih Universe Of My Fantasy Is Madaza (Imp). This one was unlucky to meet the winner, she is a quality puppy of good type, pretty head, body development correct for age, good rear and very typical. I shall watch her with interest. PGB (3) 1 Parker's Tweedsmuir Feebee Mine. Feminine and well presented with a good outline. Moved out quite well. Good straight coat. Would prefer darker ear fringes. 2 Barraclough's Latroonis Pocahontas To Wemoway (Imp). Equally feminine and lovely dark silver, decent head and good body condition. Lost her top line slightly on the move which was the deciding factor. 3 Roberts' Glorfindel Effort at Sunabil. OB (4,1) 1 Curtis' Ch Brakemill Briar Rose. At six years of age this young lady is very much the finished article. Took my eye as soon as she entered the ring. In beautiful condition, super feminine head and feminine all through but with strength as well. Lovely outline both standing and moving and was dripping with coat and ear fringes. CC and won Best Of Breed on maturity. I was delighted to see her go on to place second in the group. Well done. 2 Woodhead's Knowlespring Candy Cane. Very much my type and a feminine cream girl with lovely black points. Another from this kennel with excellent rear movement. Like her brother just needs a bit of coat and body condition. 3 Mcleod's Noap Charoit Madlen Mardzheri At Esgia (Imp). Judge Paul Eardley (Sherex)
