SKYE JUDGE PAIGNTON 19
Many thanks to the Committee for their invite to judge at this well run show. I was fortunate to have two very efficient stewards to assist me and one even wore his Scottish kilt for the occasion; he looked very smart and in keeping with our wonderful Scottish breed. I had a small but quality entry with a few absentees but that did not detract from an enjoyable day. Thank you to the exhibitors for accepting my decisions so sportingly and for showing your dogs clean and well presented. I was very impressed by the gleaming teeth!

1. Shuttleworth’s Whicheeta Total Eclipse. 21mth Silver in excellent coat and condition. Liked his overall masculinity and proportions; he has an excellent head, well balanced with dark eye and good earset, fringes to follow with maturity. Forehand was good with good forechest and rib was deep, of the correct shape and carried well back. Good croup with broad hindquarters and well set and carried tail. Moved with a steady precise gait maintaining his topline.
Limit Dog (1)
1. Bamford’s Whicheeta One For The Road. 4 ½ yo, mature silver dog in full coat, of sound construction and in excellent condition. Masculine head with good earset, well fringed. Strong backskull and balanced muzzle. Excellent bite and dark eye. Adequate length of neck, well placed forehand and correct layback of shoulder with good return of upper arm, just the right width to chest which was deep and rib carried well back to underpin a solid topline. Broad across the loin and muscular hindquarters. Moved with precision in all directions holding topline and tail correctly. Very well handled to take the RCC in good company.
Open Dog (4, 1 abs)
1. Kendrick’s Frisco Kiaora at Jeraro. 3yo dark silver who is of seamless design. So well balanced throughout with masculine head of good balance, well fringed ears, dark eye and excellent bite. Good length of neck, excellent forehand with well laid shoulder and good return of upper arm, tight elbows and good forechest. Rib was correct for depth , length and shape and loin was strong. Well muscled rear with good croup and tailset . Moved with drive and precision in all directions and holding his topline at all times. This lad is maturing well and just needs to finish in coat. Very well handled and presented to take the CC and in the challenge for BOB tipped it as he was lower to ground.
2. Breeze’s Ch. Linum Cranberry Crush at Salena (Imp. Fin). 2 yo who presents a typical outine. Excellent clear cream coat, plentiful and of good texture. Smaller throughout and not yet fully mature he possesses a balanced head with excellent bite , dark eye and excellent pigment on ears and mask. Good earset ,length of neck, depth of rib and good in shoulder. Good over the loin and croup and with a well held tail I could see he could move with ease with well held topline, just a little unsettled. Preferred the maturity and length of rib of 1.
3. Parker’s Glorfindel Deacon Brodie ShCM.

1. Large’s Parrima-arih Invaluable Fascination (imp. Rus.). Cream 6month old and one the judge would most like to take home! What a composed little lady who stood alone but well deserved her first place. From the tip of her nose to her the end of her well held and carried long tail I found it hard to fault her. Excellent throughout with a mischievous gleam in her dark eye, her expression was so typical, bite was perfect and head balanced with correctly set ears all ready to grow into. Good reach of neck, excellent forehand, good depth, shape and length to rib, strong loin and muscled hindquarters which powered her round the ring holding her immaculate topline at all times. Loved her. BPB and BPIB.

Post Grad. Bitch (2, 1 abs)
1. Bailey’s Celticbridge Ocean Belle at Marjayne. 20 month cream of correct coat colour, clearing nicely and of good length and texture. I was taken with this very feminine lady who is maturing along the right lines. Head handles well with excellent bite, pigment, earset and dark eye. Good length to neck and excellent forehand with good forechest, depth to rib and excellent length and shape. Strong loin and correct croup with well muscled rear and well held tail to finish of a very attractive picture. Just pipped the Limit winner on her fractionally longer length at the last look and more precise movement out and back .RCC.

1. Parker’s Tweedsmuir Feebee Mine ShCM. 2 ½ yo cream with correct harsh straight coat, colour just needs to finish clearing. Excellent head, balanced and with excellent bite and dark eye. Earset good , just needs the fringes to complete the picture. Good length of neck and excellent forehand with correct ribbing and strong loin with broad hindquarters allowing her to move with drive. Can be frustrating for her handler as she can be distracted on the table and on the move. The more she moved the better she went and her profile picture improved as the class progressed. Could see her doing a day’s work. Close up for the RCC.
2. Barraclough’s Latroonis Pocohontis to Wemoway (Imp). 2 ½ yo silver of good size and proportions. Feminine outlook with balance to head, excellent bite and dark eye. Earset good and well fringed. Good length of neck and good depth of chest. In good coat but carrying a little more weight than I prefer and very unsettled on the table. Moved well in all directions.
Open(2, 1 abs)
1. Curtis’ Verumamicus Aurora of Brakemill JW. At 18months this eyecatching cream is very mature and very striking in outline and movement. I would not want her any bigger but she is difficult to ignore as she is so well made all through having a strong but feminine head with good backskull and balanced strong muzzle, excellent bite, good earset well fringed and a dark expressive eye. Good reach of neck, excellent close fitting forehand with good forechest, excellent rib for length, depth and shape and strong loin with well moulded croup and correctly set and held tail. In superb coat, just starting to clear and in hard condition she never puts a paw wrong holding a rock solid topline at all times. Delighted to award her the CC.
