SKYE PAIGNTON 14 Judge: Mrs C Parker BEST OF BREED : 1579 CURTIS Mrs J Brakemill Briar Rose SKYE JUDGE PAIGNTON 14 SKYE TERRIERS Thank you to the exhibitors for your entry, the society for the invitation and my stewards. All dogs were clean for which I thank you. In the adults I did not see any small teeth which some judges have mentioned previously. I found a couple of narrow fronts, temperaments were good I do like to see a wagging tail. PD (1) 1 Grainger s Perrylands Monro Best Puppy. Have admired this young man from the ring side. He has such confidence in the ring., well presented and handled. Pleasing head and dark eye. Good front assembly, length of rib and solid rear. Moved out well. One to watch out for if he fulfils his potential. 1 Mcleod s Esgia Murray s Olympic Gold. Very raw youngster, strong head but his ears were letting him down on the day. Well proportioned body and muscled rear. Once he settled his movement was good. PGD (1) 1 Mcleod s Esgia Murray s Olympic Gold LD (0) No entries OD (3, 1) 1 White s Talyot Menelaus at Gumshoe. I ve watched his show career with interest, he has had his ups and downs. Today I wasn t disappointed. Pleasing head, and expression. Hhe has good proportions throughout without exaggeration, his jacket was in tip top condition and he moved with drive. I was pleased to see that dog and handler were in total accord. I had no hesitation in awarding him the ticket and am confident he will get that vital third before too long. 2 Curtis Brakemill Barnum SHCM. Good cream who certainly stands out. Love his strong head and dark eyes. Excellent shoulders but would prefer more length of rib. Pleasing, well muscled rear and movement is very free and easy. Res CC. PB (2) 1 Hasker s Perrylands Toffee. She is a little doll who certainly makes her handler work hard. Nice type, very feminine. Level top line standing and moving. Coat is clearing nicely. 2 Shuttleworth s Perrylands Cassidy at Whicheeta. Litter sister to winner, not as mature but a lot to like about her. JB (1) 1 McLeod s Esgia Andi s Wimbledon Dream. Another raw youngster. She was not all together happy on the day. Feminine version of her litter brother (winner of JD & PGD) good proportions and hopefully she will mature into her potential. PGB (3, 1) 1 White s Gumshoe Silent Witness. Good head and ear placement. Nice proportions with good firm top line. Would have like to see a little more animation in the movement. 2 McLeod s Esgia Andi s Wimbledon Dream LB (1,1) OB (2) 1 Curtis Brakemill Briar Rose. This young lady is certainly a class act who keeps her handler on her toes. Pale silver, she is very feminine, well constructed with pleasing lines. Coat texture is correct and she moves with such drive and determination she just flowed around the ring. Pleased to award her the CC and BOB. 2 Shuttleworth s Whicheeta Celtic Cruisader. A bitch I ve always admired and have placed her previously. She is well constructed, sadly today she was rather rotund and this was reflected in her movement which was not as fluid as it can be.
