SKYE NATIONAL TERRIER 16 Judge: Mr A Stephenson (Mariquita) BEST OF BREED : 996 CURTIS Mrs J Ch Brakemill Briar Rose SKYE JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 16 Skye Terriers PGD (1) 1 Large’s Juger Edelweiss Mickey Mouse is Madaza, pale silver dog, fab pigmentation. Super head with strong jaw & good mouth. Very heavy coat which can appear short in the neck which is not so. Long & well put together with free movement. Very nice. LD (4,1a) 1 Grainger’s Perrylands Monro, cream b points. Good head, very alert. A smaller dog but everything in right place. Well set ears. Long & very low to ground. His topline never dropped. Jacket spot on. Moved soundly; 2 Bailey’s Talyot Nimrod by Marjayn, cream b points. Just a handful for his owner. Standing a picture, a size bigger than winner & not the jacket; 3 Harrison’s Glorfindel Shadow Dancer for Trenson. OD (7) 1 Garland-Collins’ Bhuldh Here Be Dragons, dark silver. Black points. Nice fringes. So very masculine, hed to tail. Fits the standard LLL. Front & rear, rib to loin spot on. With wonderful jacket & free movement. Very much my type. That was his 3rd CC & a very worthy champion. Well done. CC; 2 Miller’s Ch Feorlig Arfur Xpence, black & in wonderful condition. Very similar lines to winner, a shade lower & not the jaw of 1st. Body & movement so sound. Loved him as a puppy. RCC; 3 Burscough’s Glorfindel Secret Shadow at Kilfinan. PGB (4) 1 Zvezdina’s Juger Edelweiss Mary Poppins, cream, black points. Super head, fab ear fringes, a good shape. In wonderful condition. A bit out of my type but she took me by surprise, what a showgirl – owns the ring. RCC; 2 Burscough’s Glorfindel Shadow Wings at Kifinan, silver b points. Not the head of the winner & lower to ground. Very sound body. Kept topline on the move. Good hard jacket. Moved very well; 3 Shuttleworth’s Perrylands Cassidy at Wincheeta. LB (5,3) 1 Marshall’s But Beautiful of Morningsky, silver & black points. Well fringed ears. So very pretty. Very low to ground. 3 L’s, just needs a bit more body to fill the complete picture. One for the top drawer I’m sure; 2 Smith’s Marrcrieff Glen Glamis, silver, a very shade bigger than 1st. Not handling topline on the move. Sound moving & enjoying her day. OB (4) 1 Curtis’ Brakemill Briar Rose, silver, black points. So stunning, loved her type size. Head, ears, pigmentation. Spot on LLL. Moved so well & coat texture bang on, utterly beautiful. CC & BOB; 2 Shuttleworth’s Whicheeta Celtic Cruisader, silver black points. Super outline. Head too tall. Sound, in good jacket. Topline held on move. Movement was sound. Pushed for top spot; 3 Woodhead’s Ch & Ir Ch Knowlespring Mistletoe. A P STEPHENSON
