SKYE JUDGE MANCHESTER 26

I would like to thank the Manchester Dog Show Committee for my invite to judge and plenty of tea on offer, thank you to my stewards for their hard work and to all the exhibitors for coming under me today.

PGD (1)

1 Simpson, Tiny Winne Argon Targaryen (Swed Imp)- 2 year old silver male, a very impressive dog of excellent type, good make and shape, strong skull of good length, clean neck and shoulder, correct firm body, lovely ear fringes and coat, sound on the move.

LD (2)

1 Heale, & Davies, Rhoderns Arbika Of Trelawneki- 2 year old male, took my eye when he came in for his shape and size, excellent outline standing and moving, pleasing head with good strength and length of neck, good layback of shoulder and a clean front. Level topline with good long ribs, correct tail set, well angulated behind, in good coat.

2 De Leie, Verumamicus Cicero With Castrumskye- 2 year old cream male, pleasing dog to go over, good strength of skull with good length, correct ear placement and strong in jaw, clean in front, firm topline with good ribbing, well angulated quarters which he used on the move.

OD (3,1)

1 Lyne, Madaza Box Of Frogs- very impressive 4 year old male, good strength of skull and uzzle of correct length, nicely placed dropped ears, good eye and dentition, strong neck of good length, correct straight front and good depth of body, presenting a good low to ground silhouette. Good spring of rib with length, firm loins and correct tail set. Strong quarters, in excellent coat and condition, pleased to award him the CC, his second I’ve been told.

2 Ryan, Flanagan The Troublemaker At Feorlig (imp Svk)- Again another quality drop eared dog, very similar to first for size and quality, lovely head with strength, correct neck going into good shoulders and body, strong firm topline, excellent hindquarters which he drove with on the move, just preferred the front of the winner, looked a picture standing and moving. RCC

VD (2,1)

1 Sanderson, & Sanderson, Ch Esgia Highland Laddie VW- 8 year old male, pressed hard for the RCC, slightly bigger than the two main winners but such a lovely quality dog, everything you would wish to have in a champion from nose to tail, in lovely condition, excellent type and balance, looked the part going around the ring. BV

SBB (1)

1 Harris, Nahearadh Sky Full Of Stars- very pretty 19 month old bitch with lots to like, correct balance and shape, head plains ok, would like her with a better layback in shoulder, body ok for age, strong quarters which she used on the move.

PB (2)

1 Heath & Heath, Skyeshire Princess Ann- two quality puppies with not much between them, it was just the decision on the day, 1st was a lovely silver of excellent type, correct bone, I liked her head and proportions, good clean neck with strength, good shoulder placement for her age, ok in body, excellent outline standing and moving, really extends front and back, should do well. BP

2 Sanderson & Sanderson, Skyeshire Briar Rose With Bremerlad- runner up was the sister, again out of the top drawer, lovely quality, well balanced and low to ground. Not so forward as the winner, but shares the same attributes as her sister. Just preferred the head plains of the winner at this moment in time. Two puppies which I will be following.

JB (2)

1 Ryan, Feorlig No Good Deed- 14 month old, something special in this bitch, lovely to go over with lovely strength of head and correct head plains, good ear set, excellent neck and front, clean layback of shoulder, well bodied for age, strong firm topline, short loin. In between coats at the moment, pushed hard for the CC, covered the ground with easy holding her silhouette on the move. Loved this bitch, will definitely go places, just lost out to the CC winner today for overall finish. RCC

2 Whitelam, Headscrook Northern Light- Needs time compared to the winner, but overall a bitch of good type with correct balanced, ok for bone, once she settled down she went well.

PGB (2)

1 Whitelam, Madaza Star- lovely breed type with excellent bone, correct head strength and plains with lovely ear fringes and well set ears, strong clean neck with good front assembly. Good strength of body with a firm topline, excellent quarters, in a good coat. Moved out covering the ground.

2 Harris, Nahearadh Sky Full Of Stars

OB (5,1)

1 Holt, Ch Coriend Let’s Do Justice- top class silver bitch, lovely proportions from top to tail, pleasing head with enough strength and good eye, liked her size, clean in front, excellent body with firm short loin, going into well angulated strong quarters, went round the ring covering the ground giving a good picture. In excellent condition, won the CC over the RCC on her overall finish, well worthy champion. BCC and BOB

2 Grainger, Ch Black Cuillins Catriona JW (Imp) Deu- Good honest bitch with lots to like, has everything required of a champion, great bone and good balance, pleasing head proportions, good strength of body with good hind angulation, firm in topline, a good Skye.

3 Burscough, Kilfinan Nightingail

VB (1)

1 Parker, Tweedsmuir Feebee Mine ShCM VW- 9 year old, lovely lady and lots of her to like, pleasing head proportions with good strength of muzzle, clean in front, carrying a bit too much weight today, but still strode out well. In good coat and form for her age.
