SKYE LEEDS 25 Judge: Mr G Corish SKYE JUDGE LEEDS 25 It was so nice to be back in the Skye ring. In my earlier handling days l showed lots of Skye’s and have such happy memories of those days. Sadly a lot of the old guard are no longer with us but it was lovely to see Nicky Bower sitting ringside, Nicky and her mum Jill had the Kirkleyditch Knls. Yes happy days. Thank you everyone for a lovely day that l really enjoyed. SBD/B (1) 1 Simpson, Tiny Winne Argon Targaryon (Swed Imp) A very nice cream dog who I see is a Swedish import. He has a nice head and ears, good reach of neck. Shoulders a touch high but he has a good topline, still needs to mature in ribs, carries his tail not to high. JD (2) 1 O’rourke, Struanmore Beleno Cream with a good outline, scores in head and expression, good reach of neck, topline could be better at times, moved well in profile. 2 Birgisdóttir, Skorradals Badass This lad has a nicely balanced head and expression, to be critical could be a little stronger in his muzzle. He has a nice outline, his topline is good and body of a nice length. Just carries his tail a little high. PGD (4) 1 Simpson, Tiny Winne Argon Targaryon (Swed Imp) 2 Heale, & Davies, Rhoderns Arbika Of Trelawneki A very shapely grey lad. Good in neck and shoulder, not quite as good in head and expression as the winner, Moved out well in profile but a little loose in front. 3 Mclean, & Weir, Full Of Fun Moravia Campanella Imp Cesk Naf Taf OD (6) 1 Ryan, Ch Flanagan Energizer At Feorlig (imp Svk) This dog stood out for outline and soundness, super in neck and shoulder, level topline, good length of body, well ribbed, all male without any coarsness. He was in super coat which was presented to perfection. Really moves out well and hold his outline the while time. he impressed me a lot. CC & BOB 2 Mclean, & Weir, Rhoderns Hamish A black dog who is certainly long low and level. Well balanced in head and expression, well placed and feathered ears. Not quite as good in front as the winner. Very steady on the move and shown in lovely coat and body condition. Res CC 3 Turner, Knowlespring Quincy ShCEx VD (1) 1 Kendrick, Ch Frisco Kiaora At Jeraro (Cze Imp) VW A black dog of 9 years, really very sound mover. Very good overall balance, his topline is still level and firm, though he was carrying maybe a little too much weight on the day but was still able to move out and hold his outline PB (2) 1 Ryan, Feorlig No Good Deed One of the few that ive judged before and this young lady was in my puppy group at this years Border Union. On the table she really does impress with that super reach of neck, dead level topline and length of body. When you go over her your hands just flow. She was in lovely coat and body condition, she is sound and free moving. Later I had to stop my heart from ruling my head! Still needs a bit more time, next yearI feel she will really hit the high spots. BPIB 2 Whitelam, Headscrook Northern Light (bc1) And very young lady and again still quite raw, and of course needs toi mature in body yet. But she is so nice go over and has the most delightful temperament. Will be very interesting to watch these two as they Mature Jb (2) 1 O’rourke, Struanmore Aos Si This is a really nice bitch and lots to like about her. She is a nice size, very feminine in head and expression. Well placed rears, good in neck and shoulder, her topline is good and tail carried not to high 2 Taylor, Rhoderns Boreray A drop ear handling my a young chap who i feel just needs a little help with his handling. His bitch is slightly taller than the winner, she is ok in neck and shoulder, not quite in full coat as the winner but was of a good texture, but just needs a bit more time to mature. Hopefully someone in the breed can help this young lad. PGB (3) 1 Whitelam, Madaza Star Very nice outline, super in head and expression, good in neck and shoulder and dead level topline, correct in rib, she was shown in lovely coat which was beautifully presented. 2 Foster, Taytayskye Chipy Chip Coockye (imp Ita) There is lots to like about this bitch who is so feminine and l see is an Italian import. Not quite as good in neck and shoulder as my winner, but looked very good on the move and was very sound 3 Cox Silverbriar Imogen Of Petitpaws LB (4) 1 Mclean & Weir, Ella Elle L’ Moravia Campanella Imp Cesk Naf A really lovely moving black bitch, scores in neck and shoulder, excellent topline, though could be a bit stronger in rib. Sound coming and going and shown in very nice coat 2 Holt, Coriend Let’s Do Justice At the first look l thought this might be my winner, but as time went on she lost her topline a little. To be honest I did prefer her head and expression to one, she has super ears which were correctly placed. Quite sound but at times a little lethargic. 3 Chapman, Verumamicus Dione At Melminds OB (3,1) 1 Mclean & Weir, Rhoderns Ananke Again long low and level black bitch who I was quite taken with, again that really typical head and expression, well carried and feathered ears, good in neck and shoulder, firm in topline and tail not carried too high. So nice to watch on the move and is sound both ways. Well deserved Bitch cc 2 Curtis, Brakemill Midsummer Dream JW A very feminine bitch with a good reach of neck, not the topline of my winner and could have carried a little more body. She is balanced and moved really nicely. VB (2) 1 Curtis, Ch Verumamicus Aurora Of Brakemill JW OSW A very nice cream bitch who im pretty sure I gave a group too some years ago? Very much the outline l was looking for, good in neck and should, her topline is still very good, well ribbed, tail again not carried too high. Stacked she still presents a lovely picture and she went onto to win the RCC and well deserved too. Best veteran 2 Parker, Tweedsmuir Feebee Mine Sh.CM VW Nearly nine years old and a little overshadowed by winner, still in super condition, in full coat of good texture. Topline just not quite as good as 1, but she moved out really well and has a lovely temperament. Mr G Corish |
