SKYE LEEDS 12 Judge: Mrs Monica Barraclough BEST OF BREED : 8076 MARSHALL Mrs G Glorfindel Black Mage SKYE JUDGE LEEDS 12 SKYE TERRIER I was pleased with my entry and thank the exhibitors for allowing me to judge such high quality skyes. The youngsters bode well for the future, they will change places many times and I look forward to watching them do just that. We are fortunate in our breed that we have no major health issues, temperaments without exception, were faultless, all were consistent in type, dentition placement all correct, all had correct coat texture The majority moved effortlessly with drive and purpose. The highlight of my day was judging the open dog class. I turned away from the table to see 9 immaculately presented skyes, all stood perfectly still, long, low, level and alert, it quite took my breath away. Thank you all. I was thrilled to see the BOB go 2nd in the strong terrier group, he looked a perfect representative of our lovely breed. JD (2,1) 1. Parker's Glorfindel Deacon Brodie, masculine dog, strong correct head, dark eye, good neck, firm topline, good rear angulation, well balanced d, movement erratic, a picture standing. OD (9) Any one of these skyes could have won CC today, all a picture standing. 1. Marshall's Ch, Glorfindel Black Mage, first time I have seen this young d, he filled my eye. I felt he was reminiscent of the Jebusa Mustard Seed and Othello skyes.
