I thank the breed exhibitors for the quality entry, with a few absent, but the ones present were of good quality and correct type, nearly all being long low and level, and moving well. Temperaments were good,

MPD (1)

1 De Leies’ Verumamicus Cicero, very attractive masculine look to this 7.5 months old cream coated boy with lovely black mask and ears with fringes coming. Stunning dark eyes with cute expression under puppy veiling. Enough neck to well laid back shoulders giving him a good angled front to his upper arm and short strong boned legs and large front feet. Firm level backline of good length to a well set tail of good length and carried correctly. Good chest depth with substance throughout his body, oval ribs set well back into short loin. Hindquarters broad and well developed for his age, good return of stifle and strong straight hocks, correctly shaped feet. Moved out steadily good front action just little unsettled behind but sound. BPD.

1 Heaths’ Lavaux’s Bahamian Chris. Smart dog to look at on the stance and nice to go over on the table. Masculine build fits the long, low and level breed points well. Well presented in a clean quality textured Silver double flat coat of correct length. Good head furnishing and veiling on his strong well developed head of good width, well set pricked ears with enough black fringing. Enough stop, open expressive dark brown eyes, strong length to muzzle with good dentition. Long neck into well laid-back shoulders into a firm level back to a well set tail with good carriage on the move. Body well ribbed back good strength to short loin. Angulated front with good chest depth, short well boned legs little close together, strong front feet. Hindquarters were muscled. Good return of stifle and let down hocks. Very well handled on the move which was free, sound and fluid, showing his pads.

2 Masons’ Bhatairnis Fasach, across the ring this boy looked long and very strongly built dog but on going over him on the table he was a good size and lovely shape to go over. Head is very strong and well coated, good back skull with width between his well set and fringed pricked ears, which he could use better to his advantage. Good veiling over large open expressive dark brown eyes, good stop, strong length to muzzle correct jaw and dentition. Excellent slightly crested neck to well laid shoulders, a firm level back line to well set tail carried well just above his backline. Strongly muscled body with correct ribs well back into his short loin. Presented nicely in a correctly harsh textured flat dark grey coat of good length, good undercoat. Short, strong well boned and coated fore legs with good chest width between. Hindquarters muscular with developed stifle and short hocks. Moved freely although could put more into his action and the want to please. Was sound at front with correct reach and sound rear drive showing his pads.

1 Volkovas’ Gold Monarh Elrond For Verumamicus So very well handled this young dog just coming into his own and maturing nicely is long, and level could be slightly lower, hopefully will not grow on. Well shaped head, I would like more strength of skull and width between his ears which are of correct pricked shape and size with lovely black fringes. Strong, foreface I would like a little more length, lovely expressive dark brown eyes under quality veiling. Lovely, crested neck of good length into a level back of good length, although today was inclined to relax his top line on the stance but kept in level on the move. Well angulated front with enough depth to his chest, well boned legs little tired at knuckle joints, strong front feet. Hindquarters with tone, good return of stifle and strong hocks. Presented immaculately in a conditioned harsh flat black double coat with silvery marks with lovely sheen and texture. Moved out freely with strong reach and good rear drive showing his pads.

2 Sandersons’ Esgia Highland Laddie although he was slightly hesitant on the table, he was still good to go over. A slightly taller lad with good length and level backline. Strongly, constructed head, good width to his back skull, well set ears with black fringes. Good stop to long, strong muzzle, correct bite. Strong slightly crested neck of good length into laid back shoulders and a level backline, well set on tail. Good chest depth short, strong legs, large front feet. Well ribbed back body with good substance. Well presented in a good conditioned and harsh textured coat of good length. Hindquarters with breadth and strength, return of stifle and let down hocks. Handled well to get the best from him, covered the ground well with sound forward reach and rear drive.

1 Macdonals-Cross, Marshall And Stephensons’ Flanagan Showstopper At Glorfindel (Imp Svn) This well named dog is very impressive on the stance and was well handled to get the best from him. He fore fills the standard of being long, low and level and stands well covering the ground. Masculine well-furnished head of strength and length with good width to his back skull, well set and used pricked black fringed ears. Good stop, large expressive dark brown eyes covered by cream veiling. Strong muzzle and jaw. Muscular slightly arched neck of length into well laid-back shoulders, firm level backline into well set and carried tail. Angulated forequarters with depth and width to chest, short strong forelegs little close at knuckles. Large firm feet. Muscular body with strong oval ribs well back into a short loin. Hindquarters broad and muscular, return of stifle and straight hocks. So well presented in a double fawn/cream flat coat of harsh texture and good length. Very powerful free mover with good forward reach and rear drive showing his clean pads. DCC BOB delighted to see him shortlisted in a strong Terrier Group.

2 Pringles’ Ch. Esgia The Exciseman I have admired this dog for a long time, so it was very nice to get my hands on him. Unfortunately today, he was beaten by a very good dog who had slightly better neck length and a more powerful stride., but he put up a good show and was what I had hoped for. Masculine head of strength and length, good width to his skull with good back skull. Correct set and width between his well set and pricked black fringed ears. Good eyes of correct shape with deep dark brown pools, slight stop, strength, length to muzzle. black nose correct dentition. Lovely cream head veiling covered his eyes. Good strong neck would have liked more length. Shoulders angulated to upper arm, with good chest depth. Strongly built body with good length to his level backline and well carried tail. Body covered in beautifully presented harsh textured flat cream coat of very good length. Oval ribcage back into his short loin. Strong short well boned forelegs, well muscled hindquarters with good return of stifle and strong straight hocks. Covered the ground soundly showing rear pads. DRCC
