SKYE LKA 14 Judge: Mrs Sue Breeze (Salena) BEST OF BREED : 6313 HARRISON Ms J D Knowelspring Jail House Rock For Trenson Sh.CM DO YOU WISH THAT THE KENNEL CLUB WOULD PUT IT'S OWN HOUSE IN ORDER? SKYE JUDGE LKA 14 Skye Terriers MPD (2) 1 Harrison's Glorfindel Shadow Dancer for Trenson, 7 months dark silver. Good masculine head with strong fore face, dark eye with good expression. Decent neck & shoulders with OK front legs. Good depth of chest. Oval ribs with short loin & firm topline. Would like a little more length on him. Well angulated hindquarters & covered the ground well. BPD; 2 Large's Bunnybois is Madaza, 8 months old almost black. Lovely head & expression with a good bite. A good neck & shoulders would prefer straighter front legs. Longer than 1st but not as firm in topline. He is a bit long in rear pastern for me & so does not have the strength & push on the move. His movement on the day was erratic. PD (1) 1 Mathews & Cuthbert's Skyewalkers Outlaw, just under 12 months cream, with good black ears. Nice head & expression with good bite. I would prefer a better lay back of shoulder & so a better neck but he has straight front legs. He is tall & long in rear pattern & I would prefer more length. He does however have a strong topline & was well presented. PGD (2) 1 McLeod's Esgia's Murray's Olympic Gold, 18 months old black very well presented. Lovely head with strong foreface & intelligent expression. Good neck leading into well laid shoulders & good depth of chest. Too much turn on his front feet for me. He has good oval ribs with short loin & strong topline which he holds on the move. Good rear angulation enabling him to push out well on the move; 2 King’s Fun And Games at Celticbridge, 19 months cream with good pigmentation. Good head with strong foreface. Nice neck & shoulder with good topline. His front legs are straight but would prefer them tighter at the elbow. Rear angulation is good but he was unsettled on the move. LD (1) 1 White's Gumshoe Moses Jones, dark grey in good coat. Lovely head & foreface with good expression. Front & shoulder OK. His rear angulation is good & he moves well. I would like him slightly lower, lost out in the challenge as his topline was rising towards the rear. OD (1) 1 Smith's Lam-Bais Mad Max at Marrcrieff, glamorous looking cream dog in fabulous coat. Decent neck leading into decent shoulders & level topline. His front is not for me it is too close. Strong rearend but not happy on the move. VD (3) 1 Harrison's Knowlespring Jailhouse Roc for Trenson, cream 8 years old on the top end for size, but well constructed. In excellent coat but needs more on his head. Nice foreface & head with good dark eye & lovely expression. Ok in neck & good shoulders with nice straight fore legs. Decent chest & good oval ribs with short loin. Good strong rear with good angulation. Moved very well both coming & going, showing himself off to advantage & as many Skye's do, defying his years CC & BOB; 2 Ankcorn's Feorlig True Destiny of Pensford, 8 years old cream. Lovely head with strong foreface & lovely dark eye. This dog has a beautiful topline which he holds on the move. He has a good front & excellent well angulated rear. Not quite the lay of shoulder of 1. GCD (1) 1 White's Ch Talyot Menelaus at Gumshoe, I have previously awarded this almost black dog a RCC. Good head & expression. Good front & rear angulation not holding himself well today & reluctant on the move. MPB (4,1a) 1 Miller & Ryan's Feorlig Up Up And Away, very raw 7 month old cream baby but so full of promise. I loved her outline. Good strength of foreface & skull but retaining her femininity. Lovely expression with dark intelligent eyes. Excellent neck flowing into well laid back shoulders. Good depth of chest & superb forelegs. She has a good length of rib with short loin giving her a good length. excellent topline. Rear end is strong & well angulated. Moved very well. Lacking in coat but that is to be expected at such a young age. Extremely well handled & presented. I shall follow her with interest; 2 Marshall's Glorfindel Shadow Witch, dark silver, 7 months. Nice head with fabulous ear fringing & gorgeous expression. Good neck & topline. This little girl needs time she was a little overawed with her surroundings; 3 Whincup-Grindey' s Bunnybois Inspiration. PB (0). JB (3,2) 1 Marshall's Skyewalkers Ozone Baby, 11 months old cream that demands attention. A lovely feminine head full of expression. Nice neck with good shoulders & front. Strong well angulated rearend & good topline. Lovely outline she could perhaps be longer but is long enough. Very alert on the stack using her ears to advantage moved well. In good coat for her age & very well presented, another that I will follow with interest. RCC; 2 King’s Perrylands Dion, pretty cream bitch with a good shape. Nice head & expression with good neck & shoulders but not quite as good in elbow as 1. This bitch is of good length & holds her topline well. Strong rearend but unfortunately not very settled on the move. PGB (3) 1 Miller's Feorlig Romantica, lovely silver bitch just out of junior. Beautiful head of correct proportions strong but feminine with a lovely expression. Super neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Good front, correct oval ribs with short loin & superb topline. Strong well angulated rear which she uses to advantage on the move. Long & low with the correct tailset she presents a lovely outline. She is sound coming & going & has enough attitude to show herself off to advantage. Beautifully presented she was my CC. Pressed hard in the challenge for BOB; 2 McLeod's Esgia Andi's Wimbledon Dream, dark silver bitch with a lovely shape when standing. Nice head with pleasing expression. Good neck & shoulders, could be straighter in foreleg. A good rearend. Nice length to her but not holding her topline well today; 3 Smith's Marrcrieff Glen Glamis. LB (2) 1 Barrass' Lavaux Spirit Of The Isle of Gallondean, black bitch with a beautiful head & expression. Well set nicely fringed ears. Good neck & shoulders OK in front. Long & level on the stack but falling away at the croup on the move; 2 White's Gumshoe Silent Witness, almost black bitch taller than 1. Good neck & shoulders strong rear end. Running up in topline & not showing herself to advantage. OB (1) 1 Woodhead's Ch Knowlespring Mistletoe, a cream bitch I have always admired lovely strong head & expression with correct dark eye & black ears. Very good neck & shoulder placement with a lovely front. Good depth of chest correct oval ribs & short loin. Powerful well angulated rearend. A quality bitch well constructed throughout. Unfortunately in the challenge she was not cooperating with her handler, dropping her topline & pulling her hind leg in underneath. Such a shame. VB (1) MacQueen’s Azrakhan Ch Capercaillie, 8 years old dark silver in fabulous coat. Good neck & shoulders & OK in front. Of good length with strong rearquarters overall a well constructed bitch unfortunately another one that refused to cooperate today. She was lazy in topline & unhappy on the move. SUE BREEZE |
