SKYE DRIFFIELD 17 Judge: Miss J Shuttleworth BEST OF BREED : 4376 WOODHEAD Mrs J Knowlespring Drummer Boy SKYE JUDGE DRIFFIELD 17 Skye Terriers It was a pleasure and a privilege to be asked to judge Skye's at this Show. Despite the weather being horrendous the preceding days and the whole site resembling Glastonbury Festival on a wet year (without the music of course), every dog that was presented to me was in beautifully turned out condition without a hair out of place or a speck of mud to be seen. A credit to the owners/exhibitors. Puppy Dog (0) Junior Dog (0) Post Grad Dog (3) (1) 1. Woodhead's Knowlespring Drummer Boy: Young cream dog that took my eye, he showed presence in the ring and moved with style and determination. A strong head, great ear set, good black pigment that off sets his cream coat beautifully, very expressive and alert, good chest, plenty of heart room into laid back shoulders, correct height to length and rib to loin ratio. Well set on tail, an extension of his level top-line. Beautiful full coat. Best Dog and BOB. 2. Hawkes Gallondean Foreign Exchange with Maridale: Young dog, Nice Coat coming in, ear set correct, good length of neck, nicely put together although a little tall for my liking. Would benefit from listening more at ring craft. 1. Harrisons UK and Ir Ch Knowlespring Jail House Rock for Trenson: This seasoned campaigner is a real credit to his owner. A delightful mover who commands the ring with his drive. Good Balance of height and length, strong head with correct ear placement, Good length of neck, well laid back shoulder. Good deep rib with correct rib loin ratio. Dripping in coat presented in wonderful condition. Res Best Dog 2. Parker's Glorfindel Deacon Brodie ShCM: Long, low and level dog who maintains his top-line whilst standing and moving. Nice black coat which complements his overall appearance. Strong head, good ear-set, broad chest, strong both fore and rear, well sprung rib with nice short loin. Moves with drive and determination, shown in excellent condition. Good Citizen Dog (1) (0) 1. Curtis' Ch Brakemill Barnum ShCM: Classy cream dog, strong head, expressive eye, good solid front , level top-line both standing and moving, good front and rear action, which covered the ground , just lacked a bit of his usual sparkle and drive today. Puppy Bitch (1) (0) 1. Parker's Tweedsmuir Feebee Mine: Very promising young lady. She has a lovely feminine head, great ear-set, long reach of neck that proceeds into a well laid shoulder. Good rib and short loin. Tail set is correct and held as an extension of her level top line. Moves with drive and determination. When her coat clears will surely be one to watch. Would have preferred a slightly stronger pigmentation, but feel this will come. Best Bitch and Best Puppy. Junior Bitch (1) (1) Post Grad Bitch (1) (1) Open Bitch (1) (0) 1. Woodhead's Knowlespring Candy Cane: Cream bitch with good coat and strong black pigment. Low and level with a correct front and rear, very feminine throughout, shown in superb condition, A nice bitch to go over, however she lacked a bit of sparkle in the ring today. Good Citizen Bitch (1) (0) 1. Zvezdina's Juger Edelweiss Mary Poppins: Beautifully coated and beautifully turned out bitch. Nice black pigment, with strong front and rear construction. Moved well just lacking in length for my liking. Res Best Bitch. Judge Jan Shuttleworth
