SKYE JUDGE DRIFFIELD 14

Skye Terriers

PGD (1)

1 White’s Gumshoe Moses Jones, black young male of good size, long, low, level shape. Dark expressive eyes. Enough length of neck, fairly well ribbed. Hard straight topcoat & soft undercoat, adequate fringing. Hard to assess movement as not co-operating with handler. Has a tendency to curl tail on the move.

OD (3)

1 Curtis’ Ch Brakemill Barnum, cream with black points in absolutely tip-top order. Powerful head of correct length & good ear placement. Attractive feathering. Neck sufficiently crested flowing into a level topline, deep chest & short loin. Balanced angulation & great quality coat & undercoat. Flowing movement at a decent pace, holding topline & tail carriage correct. Good length of stride, showing rear pads. BD, BOB;

2 Breeze’s Ch Salena The Special One, this dark silver mature male was also typical in head & moved very well too. Well made, today he was inclining to extend towards his forehand on the stack, which then gave him a slightly sloping topline. RBD;

3 Parker’s Glorfindel Deacon Brodie.

GCD (1)

1 White’s Talyot Menelaus at Gumshoe, smart black, dark eyes, ears set on well. Good length of head & neck. A little high at the rear on the table, though held a level topline on the move, though again not that keen on moving. In lovely coat, correct undercoat.

PGB (1)

1 White’s Gumshoe Silent Witness, black with a level topline, which she held on the move. In profile I felt she appeared a little short in foreface for me, but well set on ears with correct fringing. Again a lovely flat coat with soft undercoat. Just tending to curl tail a little when she gets going on the move.

OB (2)

1 Woodhead’s Ch Knowlespring Mistletoe, mature cream bitch of quality & with required black points. Lovely dark eye & expression, good length of head flowing into slightly crested neck. Firm level topline, held on the move & shown in full bloom, super coat. Moved well, showing rear pads, but not going as effortlessly in the challenge. BB;

2 Curtis’ Ch Brakemill Briar Rose, attractive silver bitch with a beautiful head & expression & the best earset of the day I thought. In super coat but a bit of a fidget today & roaching her topline a bit at times on the move. RBB.

GCB (0).
