SKYE JUDGE DARLINGTON 23

An entry of 20 but what was lacking in numbers made up for in quality where I was spoiled for choice in both top awards.

JD (1)

1 Taylor’s Riskerytree Ruaridh at Billkenstar a well coated black of good size and ample length. I liked his head proportions, a hint of a stop and well feathered ears. He has a good spring and depth of rib, shortish loin and well muscled hindquarters. In good coat he needs to learn some ring control as he played his handler up on the move, pulling to one side most of the time.

LD (3/2)

1 Turner’s Knowlespring Quincey ShCEx a well coated cream with black fringes. His length/height proportions are good and he has a good arched neck helping his outline appeal. His head is nicely balanced, the eyes dark and his ears well set. Tends to be loose in front action but drives well behind and in profile.

OD (4/2)

1/CC & BOB Ryan’s Ch Flanagan Energizer at Feorlig (Imp SVK) I liked him lots!! Shaded black pointed cream with a masculine head, super ear set, expressive eyes and powerful foreface. So well ribbed with a lovely neck and backline leading to nicely angulated hindquarters. Presented in super coat condition he traversed the ring with a reaching gait using his hocks well. More than happy to send him through to the Group. 2 & Res CC Lauver’s Bahamian Chris very dark grey dog in excellent body and coat condition. I liked his head balance, such dark brown expressive eyes, well set and fringed ears, ample reach of neck, topline not quite as level and firm as the winner’s but his profile action was nicely balanced and purposeful. Should make up alright.

PB (2/1)

1 & BP Whincup & McCourt’s Coriend The Adjudicator by Partisky a disarming young cream which has a long way to go but the essentials are there...all she needs is the benefits of growing up!! Pretty headpiece, beautiful eye, well placed and carried ears and an excellent side action as she motored around the ring. Her jacket was nicely presented and she gave me that haughty look as I went over her...it made me smile!

LB (1)

1 Curtis’ Brakemill Midsummer Dream JW just 2 years old but is so very promising. Dark grey super outline on the stack...certainly long, low and level with amply weighted bone and such good feet. Her head is so good, ther expression endearing and her presentation flawless. She just needs to fill her frame out to make the going hot but I am sure her future will be rosy.

OB (4/1)

1 & CC Ryan’s Ch Classic Touch of Morningsky with Feorlig (Imp D) this is the first time I have judged this lovely bitch and I was not disappointed. Ultra feminine in head and expression. Uses that good neck to enhance her appeal, well laid shoulders and amply weighted bone. Her topline flows so evenly, the back rock steady and the tail set and carriage add to her appeal. In super jacket she moved out with a light ground covering step.

2 & Res CC Curtis’ Ch Verumamicus Aurora of Brakemill JW I have judged before. I loved her then and was delighted to see her once more. She is a most worthy Champion in every way, in super body and flawless coat condition, certainly long and low with a rock steady topline as she circles the ring. In splitting these two beautiful bitches I just preferred the smaller size of Classic.

3 Parker’s Tweedsmuir Feebee Wine ShCM
