SKYE DARLINGTON 21 Judge: Mrs F Carlton SKYE JUDGE DARLINGTON 21 Many thanks to the Society for their kind invitation to judge and to the exhibitors for allowing me to go over their dogs. I have been away from the ring for a few years, so all the exhibits were new to me. 1 Parker’s Glorfindel Deacon Brodie ShCM VW. Black veteran who belied his age. Masculine head although a bit lazy with his ears. Great topline which he kept on the move. 1 Barrass’ Sunabil Twysog O’Libanus Of Gallondean (AI). Silver youngster with lovely dark points. Strong head with correct ear set. Level topline, good length. Front a little loose on the move but time is on his side. 1 Volkova’s Gold Monarh Elrond For Veramicus. Mature black dog, just my type of Skye. He has a strong, masculine head with a super dark eye. Well placed ears which he used to advantage. Great neck with a solid front and correctly placed shoulders. Good length of rib which gave him a level topline. Length to height ratio correct. Sound on the move. Pleased to award him the Dog CC and Best of Breed. Delighted to see him shortlisted in the Terrier Group. 1 Miller & Ryan’s Flangan Energiser At Feorlig (Imp Svk). Young cream dog with dark points. Strong head with well set ears. Well placed shoulders with a reasonable topline and a solid backend. Steady on the move. Pleased to award him the Reserve Dog CC. For me he lost out to the CC winner on topline and overall breed type. 2 Pringle’s Ch Esgia The Exciseman. Mature cream dog with dark points. Strong head with well placed ears. A little short in neck and overall body length. Level topline and a strong backend. A little sluggish on the move but still a worthy champion. 2 Whincup’s Partisky Precious Moment. 1 Volkova’s Ch Juger Edelweiss Mary Poppins. Cream bitch with super dark points. Lovely feminine head and eye. Good length of rib and loin. Reasonable topline which she kept on the move. 1 Barrass’ Tarskavaig Speed Bonny Boat To Gallondean. Very raw 8 month old black bitch. Feminine head with correctly placed ears. Holding herself very tightly so difficult to assess her topline. Moved ok when settled. 1 Roberts’ Sunabil Twysoges O’Libanus. Young bitch just out of puppy. Lovely overall breed type. Feminine head with a dark eye. Well set ears and a lovely neck set in to well placed shoulders. Good length and topline. Strong backend which she used well on the move. Interesting to see how she matures. Enough to like at the moment to award her the Reserve Bitch CC. 1 Burscough’s Kilfinan Nightingail. Nice sized silver bitch with decent dark points. Feminine head with well placed ears. Long and low with a correct tailset. Lost her topline a little on the move. 1 Baker’s Annabell From Waringham Castle To Silverbriar (Imp). Lovely sized black bitch. Long, low and level just as Skyes should be. Beautiful feminine headpiece with an elegant neck. Straight front and well placed shoulders. Kept her topline on the moved and moved out soundly. Pleased to award her the Bitch CC which turned out to be her third – Congratulations. 2 Pringle’s Esgia First And Foremost. Cream bitch who was a shade bigger overall than first. Strong head with a good neck and topline. Moved with oomph round the ring. 3 Large’s Parrima-Arih Universe Of My Fantasy Is Madaza JW. 1 Parker’s Tweedsmuir Feebee Mine ShCM. Cream bitch with a strong head. Good topline and a strong backend. Moved out soundly. 2 Barrass’ Gallondean Foreign Spirit ShCM SCEx. Mature cream bitch with dark points. Straight front, with a level topline. Not too happy on the move today.
