SKYE JUDGE BLACKPOOL 19

It was a pleasure to be asked to Judge the Skye’s at this prestigious show. Although the
Breed is not supported by Challenge Certificates at this venue anymore, I still had a good
entry which was a pleasant surprize. There was for me, a noticeable amount of Creams
present as apposed to Silver/Black Skye’s, funny how this runs in trends, not long ago it
was predominantly Silvers on the show circuit. All exhibits were beautifully behaved,
expertly handled and well presented. All a pleasure to go over.
I have to say here though; attention should be given in the future to the top lines in this
breed.

JD (1)

1. Mclean & Weir’s Knowlespring Jackpot at Rhoderns. Nice Cream Lad with excellent
qualities, Masculine head, good reach of neck. Excellent shoulders and solid front. Well
proportioned rib to loin ratio. Moves with ease and drive. Nice and level with good
expression. Well coated with strong dark points. Certainly, one to watch. RBD

OD (3)
1. Parkers Glorfindel Deacon Brodie SHCM. A lovely mature dark silver dog. Always
happy in the ring doing his job with pride. A dog with strong features. Good head and
neck with honest eye and expression. He has the most excellent of fronts with depth
and heart room, perfect shoulder and elbow placement. Good rib to loin ratio and
strong hind quarters. Moves with the levelest of top lines. Adorned with a plentiful
coat of correct type. Moves with ease and drive. BD

2. Large’s Juger Edel Weiss Mickey Mouse is Madaza. Another mature dog of dark cream
colour. A lovely Drop eared boy with good ear placement. An honest eye and strong head.
He to has excellent neck and shoulders leading into a strong body with good length of rib
and loin. Excellent tail carriage. Moves well but lacking the drive and front of 1st
.
3. Woodhead’s Knowlespring Drummer Boy.

JB (2)

1 Curti’s Verumamicus Aurora Of Brakemill JW. A lovely young cream bitch, beautifully
turned out with an amazing coat Excellent head and pigmentation, kind eye and great ear
set. Moved with ease due to her excellent build. Shoulders elbows and front perfect. Rib to
loin ratio excellent, level top line and carries her tail well as an extension of her body. Hind
quarters give her the drive to move powerfully around the ring. Just a lacking in femininity
for me. RBB & BJ

2 Duncan’s Verumamicus Ambrosia of Kyloran. Litter sister of 1. Again, a lovely cream bitch
with excellent black points. Nice feminine head, kind eye. Lovely front, good rib to loin
ration, strong hind quarters and tail set. A smaller version of 1. Who needs to settle a bit
more on the move.

LB (3)

1 Large’s Parrima-arih universe of my fantasy is Madaza (IMP RUS) JW. A super low
cream bitch with good strong colour, dark points, lovely expression and honest eye. Put
together well with good length of neck, strong shoulders, correct elbow placement, good rib
length and loin correct. Tail carriage correct. Moves with keenness and drive.

2 Parker’s Tweedsmuir Feebee Mine ShCM. Nice cream well built bitch with a good honest
eye and expression. A good front, good rib to loin ratio, correct coat, maybe lacking in a
little pigmentation compared to others on the day. Moved well around the ring, just needs to
settle.

3 Robert’s Glorfindel Effort at Sunabil

OB (4)

1 Campbell’s Buckwheaters Pictured Perfect. What a head turner this beautiful silver bitch
is. All the breed standard requires. Long, Low and very very Level. Delightfully feminine
with perfect head, honest eye, correct ear set. A very good length of neck leading into
excellent shoulders, close elbows and a strong front. Good length or rib, nice short loin.
Strong hide quarters, promoting strong driving power. Correct tail carriage. Plentiful coat of
correct type shown in tip top condition. Moved purposefully around the ring. BB & BOB

2 Heath’s Perrylands Hello Again. Very nice bitch shown in excellent condition. A nice
feminine head with lovely expression. Well-built bitch with correct coat, level back, good tail
carriage, moved with drive and showed very well. Just not as long as 1..

3 Woodhead’s Ir Ch Knowlespring Candy Cane.
