SKYE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 23 Judge: Miss A BRADLEY SKYE JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 23 My thanks to the most efficient stewards Victoria and Alex also to the exhibitors for a lovely entry for my first CC appointment for the breed. 1. Herbert’s Riskerytree Dave’s Allan. Most promising with ample bone for age, strongly well made head, ears well set, good bite, pleasing expression, decent front and has length to body showing good development of chest, moved freely, BP. 1. Bailey’s Rhoderns Haggis at Marjayn. Powerful head with slightly rounded skull, well placed medium dark brown eyes, moderate length of neck, good length to body, level back, well set and carried tail, shown in correct double coat. 1. Mason’s Bhatairnis Fasach. Shown in a decent black coat, has strong head of good proportion, correct bite, powerful jaw, neck of fair length, back long and low, ample depth, steady on the move. LD (5) 1. Turner’s Knowlespring Quincy ShCEx. Typical head and expression, well placed and used ears, good strength of jaw, has moderate length of neck, enough length of body, strong level back, chest needs to drop a little, moved out with purpose. 2. Heath’s Lavaux’s Bahamian Chris. Overall a nice type with pleasing expression, has the length of body and level back but would prefer more substance all through. 3. Sanderson’s Esgia Highland Laddie. 1. Ryan’s Ch. Flanagan Energizer at Feorlig (imp SVK). A picture of elegance, has a powerful head, correct length, slight stop to strong muzzle and jaw, excellent front, his long muscular neck has slight crest flowing to well laid shoulders, his long and low body is well ribbed back with short loin, back level, presents an impressive picture in profile with his free flowing movement, all finished in super coat, DCC & BOB, congratulations on Group 4. 2. Pringle’s Ch. Esgia The Exciseman ShCEx. Good for breed type, has large head, correct length of fore face with strong jaw, today was lazy with ear carriage which detracted from expression, back level, tail set good correctly carried, active parallel, movement in double coat, RDCC. 3. Shuttleworth’s Whicheeta Walk The Walk. 1. Heale’s Rhoderns Helena. Pleasing head of good proportion, well placed ears, nicely fringed, liked expression, has fair length of neck, ample depth of body, level back, good tail carriage, moved with drive, BSpB. 1. Herbert’s Riskerytree The Magpie. Black sister to puppy dog, not so forward but has a lot to like, pleasing head and ears, good bite, fair in neck, good length of body, level back, overall has good bone, moved ok when settled, BPB. 2. Cox’s Silverbriar Imogen of Petitpaws. Very much a baby at 7 months, has plenty of time for body development, has good length and level back, did really well in the noisy hall. 1. Grainger’s Black Cuillins Catriona (imp GER). Very nice type, good strength of head, well placed and used ears, liked expression, has ample neck to well developed body of correct length and level back, well set and carried tail, moved out well. 2. Shuttleworth/Whincup’s Wondersky Wish You Were Here at Wicheeta (imp USA). This youngster needs more time for body and bone development, has a nicely balanced head, well placed dark brown eyes, fair length of neck, correct in body length, back level, rather unsettled on the move. 1. Curtis’ Brakemill Midsummer Dream JW. Pleasing head, well placed ears, dark brown eye, has enough neck to good length of body, back level, good tail set, nicely presented, double coat, moved well when settled. 2. Heale’s Rhoderns Helena. 1. Heath’s Skyeshire Rosie. Good head proportions, well placed eyes, typical expression, moderate length of neck, back level, well set tail, sound in movement. 1. Ryan’s Classic Touch of Morningsky with Feorlig (imp DEU). Admired this 2 year old when a puppy and has certainly fulfilled her early promise, ideal head proportions, plenty of strength, slight stop, good bite, strong muzzle, ample length of neck to well laid broad shoulders, chest is deep, body long and low, level back, hindquarters well angulated, low hocks, used to advantage on the move, RBCC. 2. Burscough’s Kilfinan Nightingail. Balanced head, good eye and ears, pleasing expression, has fair length of neck, good front assembly, level back, overall would prefer more substance. 1. Curtis’ Ch. Verumamicus Aurora of Brakemill JW. This quality bitch certainly commands attention, possesses a long and powerful head but not coarse, her neck is of good length set onto broad shoulders, chest is of ample depth, body long and low, well ribbed short loin, level back, hindquarters strong, well developed muscle, moves with drive, showing pads, BCC. 2. Baker’s Ch. Annabell from Waringham Castle to Silverbriar. This black is full of type, decent head and ears with pleasing expression, has ample neck to well made front body of good length, level back, moved with purpose. 3. Pringle’s Ch. Esgia First and Fairest.
