SEALYHAM JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 15

Sealyham Terriers

Thank you for your entry. As you know I have a great affection for the breed but I was compromised here by what I feel is a change of type. Some quality dogs who were a little boxy & high on the leg for the breed, whilst some of the better proportioned dogs disappointed on the move. As always temperaments were excellent.

PGD

1 Polrose Pied Piper at Jacott, 17 months, lovely quality dog of excellent proportions. Good topline, coat, rib & chest & good tailset & quarters which he uses well. Typy, masculine head. Could be a little stronger in feet & pastern but he has so much to like. In the challenge his front action was not as good as in this class. Should have a great future. RCC.

LD

1 Blomendal Catch Me If You Can, 2 years, looked a picture & went really well. Low to ground, quality dog of excellent type. Good moving dog who is full of type. I would prefer a better tail. Strong masculine head with good foreface & without coarseness. Excellent presentation. He is top size but bang on form today & scored on the move to take CC & BOB.

OD

1 Ch Polrose Parker Plus Ornella, 4 years, top size dog who is a little on the leg for breed balance. Lovely head, excellent rib & good quarters. His front action could be better. Scored in head & proportions on the day;

2 Ch Saturday Night Fever at Jacott, 5 years, smaller, low to ground dog who moves well. I would prefer him a little more masculine in the head with a touch more bone for a male. Scored in front action but just preferred body length of 1.

PB

1 Nileda Great Expectations, 8 months, lovely size, coat & proportions. Still very raw & I would prefer a little more bone but sound & typy. Very feminine, clean head & good eye. Holds her topline well. BP.

JB

1 Tyniad Gen Glumbumble, 16 months, very good moving bitch who is of good proportions & excellent head & coat. Carries a good topline. She doesn’t need any more weight. Just a touch high on the leg for breed balance. PGB 1 Blomendal Cookies ‘N’ Cream, 22 months, scored in topline & coat to win this. A little high on the leg but has a lot of type & is well put together;

2 Leomona Little Star, looked my winner standing being lower to ground & with lovely quality head. She moved with good stride but her topline let her down today.

LB

Two excellent bitches.

1 Amberwheats Hope ‘N’ Smile with Willowaire, lovely quality, low to ground bitch who scored in quarters & movement. I would prefer the tailset a little higher. Quality feminine head, in excellent coat. She is a very typical Sealyham for proportions & type. CC;

2 Eleighwater Almira at Leomona, 20 months, very gassy bitch. A handful on the move but I liked her size & lowness to ground. Scored in foreface & tailset but not the quarters or front action of 1. Won RCC on type & proportions.

OB

Two completely different types giving me a difficult option.

1 Ch Nomis Naughty And Nice, very showy bitch, carrying herself well. Just a little boxy for my taste & I would like her lower to ground. Scored in bone & topline & front action to win this on the day. Excellent coat & moves well. The two Limit bitches appealed more for type. Scored in bone & topline to win this class;

2 Ch Zippor A Tale Of Two Sisters Nileda, 6 years, low to ground type, lovely proportions & head appealed to me more but her topline & action on the day let her down.
