SEALYHAM SKC MAY 11 Judge(s) MR F KANE DCC AM CH BLOMENDAL'S BORN IN THE USA AT THUNDER RD (IMP) (MS S & MRS J A HAWKS & BLEDGE) Sealyham Terriers The entry was marred by absentees & I hope the exhibitors who missed the show are feeling better. I thought the BOB winner an exciting prospect & I loved the two bitch puppies – both top quality. The bitch challenge was comprised of quality bitches all through. PGD 1 Esanar Total Eclipse, good body shape & substance, used hocks well. Too strong in the head & his dentition is not correct after an accident. Held his topline. OD 1 Am Ch Blomendal’s Born In The USA at Thunder Road, blue marked dog of lovely type & proportions, masculine head without coarseness, good substance, well let down in front & retains freedom of action. Good ribbing, coat & quarters, looked a picture. CC & BOB; 2 Ir Ch Cibach Celtic Connection, lighter boned dog of good body proportions, moves well. Would prefer a little more strength to foreface. Just a little long in couplings & this shows in his topline. Beautifully presented. RCC; 3 Zippor White Rum. JB Two lovely puppies who both pleased me enormously. 1 Nomis Numero Uno, 8 month, excellent type & balance, beautiful head, excellent bone, very good movement. BP & later RCC on her bone, head & movement; 2 Zippor Break A Leg, 6 month, beautiful baby who went very well on her first outing. Low to ground & with excellent proportions. 1 just a little more forward in bone & body but this is one to watch. Beautifully handled & presented by her young owner who is a real asset to the breed. PGB 1 Zippor Tale Of Two Sisters at Nileda, good bodied bitch, feminine head which could be a little longer. Lovely expression & good ears, good quarters used well. A little light in bone. Excellent coat & presentation, pressed hard for RCC; 2 Dursegg Athena at Esanar, heavier stamp of bitch with a lot of substance. Moved well. A little heavy in head, has too much ticking in her coat. Full of temperament & enjoyed herself in the ring. LB 1 Ornella Mini Neon Now Nomis, feminine & of good proportions, good rear action. I would prefer a slightly longer foreface to balance her head. Excellent coat texture. Would like a little more depth of body. OB 1 Ch Polrose Penny Black for Pendalin, lovely breed type, just a little heavy in the head for my taste. Good proportions, very good bone, topline & tail, presented as usual from this exhibitor in pristine condition & a good winner of the CC; 2 Polrose Phyll, dam of the winner. I liked this 7 year bitch immensely & if she had gone better she could have turned the tables. Lovely size, excellent head which I preferred to 1. Just a little reluctant to show with terrier spirit.
