SEALYHAM NATIONAL TWRRIER 25 Judge: Mr D W Shields SEALYHAM JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 25 SBD/B (4,1) 1 Hayes Panthermead Twister at Penravebay. A very promising puppy of excellent make and shape for her age and has such attitude and confidence for a youngster. Pleasing head with a good eye and expression. Well made front assembly, good spring of rib and strong well developed hindquarters. A very sound and positive mover. I am sure her owner will have a lot of fun with her, very promising. 2 Khrenov’s Lord of the Rings of Taita’s Ushabti at Gelodneaea. A lot to like about him, top size with good strength and substance throughout but shows no sign of coarseness. Very typical in head, powerful and long as the standard asks for with a lovely eye and expression. Firm body along with a good tailset and carriage. A little more attention to his coat would improve his overall appearance. 3 Pawson’s Afterglow’s Golden Ticket (IMP USA) VD/B (2) 1 Evan’s Ch.Nileda Our Mutual Friend. Definitely belies his age keeping a lovely shape both stacked and on the move. Very well balanced throughout with the required oblong appearance. Best of heads, clean over his neck and shoulders, well ribbed and has a good depth of chest. Good width of quarters along with well let down hocks. Put down in excellent coat and condition on the day. Positive on the move, Res.CC & BV. 2 Courtenay-Warren & Krykunivsky’s Bullbrit Shady Lady of Nunneley. Excellent size and she has also kept a very good shape and presents a very typical outlook. Pleasing head piece, balanced, good expression and well placed ears. Strong neck set in well placed shoulders, good spring of rib and nicely rounded hindquarters. Moved well fore and aft. JD (2) 1 Lee’s Rainesgift West of the Moon at Firenzlee. Pleasing sort of overall good make and shape who handled well on the table. Clean head, well balanced with a good eye and expression. Firm body, straight front standing on good legs and feet. Well angulated quarters. Sound mover who covered the ground on a good stride. 2 Afterglow’s Golden Ticket (IMP USA). Still very raw at present and needs to develop in body to complete the picture. Correct proportions with good bone throughout. Pleasing head of good length, best of expressions and good strength of jaw. Very positive on the move once he got into his stride. Just needs time. PGD (2) 1 Lord of the Rings of Taita’s Ushabti at Gelodneaea. 2 Crang’s Lushell Gwyn Cariad. One with a number of positive virtues and breed points but on the day was carrying a little to much weight which spoiled his overall appearance. Typical head piece with a masculine outlook but is not overdone in anyway. Quality bone throughout and moved very soundly. Another who would look better with a little more attention to his coat. LD (2,1) 1 Bettis’s Orenella King Midas JW. Stood alone on the day but a very worthy winner. Still relatively young and think there is more to come as he develops. Liked his length and balanced appearance and has very clean outline which flows from head to tail. Pleasing head, clean cut and of good strength. Scores in neck and shoulders. Strong hindquarters that he uses to advantage on the move. In the best of coats and first class presentation. OD (3) 1 Bell’s Ch.Zippor Sleepy Sapphireson at Letara. Have judged him twice before, awarding him BP and Res.CC on the first occasion and then the Res.CC again the last time I judged the breed but today he could not be denied top honours. Love his shape, balance and typical outlook and one who kept a strong level topline both stood and on the move. Excellent head, eye and expression. Best of quarters and a correct tailset and carriage. Today he was on his ‘A’ game on the move powering round the ring on a positive stride and great drive from behind, CC & BOB. 2 Oulton & Holderness-Rumsey’s Ch.Whooperhill Sandman Nijch. Different stamp and style to the winner but one I liked a lot and was close up to top honours on the day. Well made throughout and was presented to perfection and in the best of coats. Quality head, clean cut and has a very typical outlook. Well off for bone and substance, good spring of rib and well angulated hindquarters. A very sound mover. 3 James’s Nileda Mister Joe. PB (1) 1 Panthermead Twister at Penravebay, BP. JB (3,2) 1 Lee’s Whooperhill King’s Choice at Firenzlee. Typey bitch of good size and overall pleasing make and shape. Good head with a lovely eye and expression and well placed ears. Best of fronts, well boned legs and good feet. Firm body, pleasing depth and well sprung ribs. Good width of quarters, moved well. PGB (3) 1 Flower’s Dionaha Winnie. To be ultra critical would prefer her a little shorter in loin but there is a lot to like about her with many breed attributes. Lovely head and expression, good length, clean cut and excellent strength of jaw. Scores in front assembly with a good reach of neck and well layed shoulders. Well rounded quarters and a good bend of stifle. First class coat of correct texture. Soundest of movers. 2 Merson’s Magembay Monnet. Smaller framed bitch who fits the standard well. Nicely balanced and of correct proportions. Pleasing head and eye, clean front and a level topline and a good tailset and carriage. Firm hindquarters and well let down hocks. Moved on a pleasing stride. Just needs to develop in body to complete the picture. 3 Courtenay-Warren & Krykunivsky’s Magembay Muchova of Nunnelay. LB (2) 1 Bell’s Whooperhill Serendipity for Letara JW. Top class bitch who presents such a typical outlook and is very well made throughout. Good head piece with the best of expressions. Excellent front assembly, very clean over her neck and shoulders and the best of legs and feet. Good spring of rib and excellent width of quarters. Presented in the best of coats of correct texture. Moved soundly with good reach and drive. 2 Rumney & Dooley’s Rowanrae Dream Weaver. Bigger framed bitch of good bone and substance but still keeps a feminine outlook. Very typical in head, balanced and of good length and strength. Pleasing front with good depth of chest, well ribbed and a good bend of stifle. A very sound mover, good in front and excellent drive from behind. OB (4) The most competitive class of the day. Four quality bitches who were a pleasure to judge. 1 Bettis’s Ch.Nunneley Hopscotch over Ornella JW ShCEx OSW. Gave her BP last time I judge the breed and was pleased to see that she has fulfilled that early promise. Of good length, very well balanced throughout giving her the correct proportions you are looking for in the breed. Best of heads with a good eye and expression. Scores in neck and shoulders, good width and depth of chest, level topline and a good tailset and carriage. As always from this kennel presented in first class order. Sound mover, CC. 2 Oulton’s Am.Grand Ch. Multi Ch & Int.Ch.Whooperhill So Charming. Liked her size and feminine outlook which was combined with excellent bone and substance throughout. Pleasing head piece, dark eye and a good expression. Well made front, good legs and feet, well sprung ribs and a good tailset with plenty behind. Strong well rounded hindquarters. On the day was in the best of coats, crisp and harsh. Such a positive mover, Res.CC. 3 Moakes Whooperhill Sleepinbeauty of Jomoaka. David Shields |
