SEALYHAM JUDGE CRUFTS 23

Many thanks to the exhibitors who allowed me handle their dogs and pass judgement, I thought that the main winners, some of whom I had judged on previous occassions and others I had not, were of good quality.

VD (1)

1 Lewis’s Nomis Naughty Boy, I liked the make and shape of this 7 year old, scores in head and expression, very well made body, good bone and substance, presented in good form, although moved freely, he seemed rather unsettled in the challenge. Best Veteran.

JD (1)

1 Challenger’s Rowanrae Dream Come True, just over 12 mths of age, a smart looking dog that has a typical outline, pleasing head with dark eye and strong muzzle, fair reach of neck, strong quarters and correct tailset, good harsh coat, moved freely, everthing in the right place, it will be interesting to see him in 12mths time after some maturity.

PGD (5)

1 Crang’s Lushell Gwyn Cariad, masculine dog, has the desired dark eye, well placed ears and strong jaw, well developed in body, moved with drive. needs a little careful trimming to improve his apperance.

2 Curtis’s Jolihem Lene Joe Badger, nice head with well placed ears, good spring of rib, strong quarters, firm topline, prefered the bone and coat texture of the winner.

3 Allison’s Nunneley Hide and Seek.

LD (2,1)

1 James’s Nileda Mister Joe, pleasing balanced outline, typical head and expression, good bone and feet, firm topline, powerful quarters, sound mover.

OD (6)

1 Bell’s Ch Zippor Sleepy Sapphireson at Letara, I judged this dog as a youngster at LKA and awarded him the RCC, he has definately fullfilled his promise, typical throughout with good bone and substance, scores in head and expression, muscular neck, well made body with a big spring of rib, powerful quarters, moved freely and with purpose, very pleased to award him the CC and BOB where he put on a good performance however in the Group it was rather unfortunate that he smelt something on the table which made him unsettled and so therefore he didn’t give his best.

2 Bettis’s Ch Ornella Country Living, another I have judged sometime ago and that time I gave him the CC, I still think of him as an excellent speciman, probably of more ideal size than the winner, being a touch more low to ground, just lost out on showmanship to the winner today, moved true and throughly deserved the RDCC in this strong class.

VB (2)

1 Baotic’s Int Ch Just A Secret Amberwheats’s, 8 year old bitch who is very feminine in outline, pleasing head and expression, good in make and shape, low to ground, level topline, well presented harsh coat, moved and showed very well.

2 Trezise-Dundas’s Cibach Carys at Firstwish, this 11 year old bitch was in good form and a credit to her owner.

JB (3)

1 Challenger’s Rowanrae Like A Dream, a bitch of good type and size, nicely proportioned feminine outline, similar remarks to her litter brother who won Junior dog, moved freely.

2 Rumney & Dooley’s Rowanrae Dream Weaver, litter sister to the winner and again not dissimilar, pleasing in make and shape, prefered the front of 1st.

3 Khrenov’s Gelodnea Blodwyn.

PGB (4)

1 Mcnellis’s Magembay Merrydah, a most impressive bitch that was presented to the highest standard, her coat was harsh and beautifully white, appealing head with dark eye and well placed ears, good neck and shoulders, well made throughout, moved and showed very well, one destined to the upper house in this form.

2 Smith’s Grevenia Higwen Amber Queen, another who was well made and very typical, her head is well proportioned, fair reach of neck and big string of rib, she has strong quarters which she used on the move.

3 Trezise-Dundas’s Firstwish Ara.

LB (2,1)

1 Bettis’s Nunneley Hopscotch over Ornella, this young bitch has a beautiful outline, pleasing feminine head and expression, muscular neck, well developed body with firm topline, good harsh coat which was well presented, her movement was brisk and free, to be slightly picky I thought she was carrying a touch too much weight, however pleased to award her the RBCC.

OB (6,1)

1 Oulton & Fourie’s Ch Whooperhill So Charming, an eyecatching bitch with plenty of ring presence, truly feminine in outline, loved her head and expression, good overall make and shape, outstanding presentation, moved true both ways, won the CC over some strong opposition.

2 Schumann’s Bussy Buddy Loretta Lunatic, truly honest type of bitch of good make and shape, pleasing head and expression, in good coat and condition, moved freely and showed well.

3 Oulton & Fourie’s Am Gch/am Ch Whooperhill American Celebration (Imp Usa)
