SEALYHAM JUDGE BATH 17

Sealyham Terriers

Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at their annual championship show. Many thanks also to the exhibitor’s for their entries with non absent on the day, much appreciated & to my two very efficient stewards who keep the ‘office’ in order. It was very hot, therefore it was good to have the ‘in & out’ rings.

PD (1)

1 BD, BP, BOB & PG2, Bettis’ Ornella Country Living, smart pup of lovely breed type, well made head with brown badger marking, good ear carriage, strong muzzle & bite, ample bone, chest well slung, lovely run-in & layback, ribs carried well back, firm loin, good tailset & carriage, correct coat texture, held a level topline, positive on the move fore & aft, delighted to see he won PG2, well done, should have a bright future.

OD (1)

1 RBD, Bettis’ Ch Dudwell Double Decca D’ornella, sire of my puppy dog winner & has similar head markings, clean skull, well shaped eye, good muzzle & bite, well defined forechest, correct ribbing well sprung, muscled quarters, a little short on coat but texture good, moved out well, preferred the overall balance & profile of his son.

PGB (1)

1 Trezise-Dundas’ Firstwish Blossom Hill, feminine head, well placed ears, OK for bone, good ribs, deep chest, firm loin, parallel hocks, & well padded feet, topline held on the move.

LB (2)

1 BB, Wonnacott’s Jacott Jubilee Queen, well balanced bitch from all angles, clean skull, good pigment, strong muzzle & bite, well off for bone, good neck & shoulders, well ribbed to firm loin, used her well made quarters to advantage on the move, correct coat texture;

2 Trezise-Dundas’ Cibach Carys at Firstwish, well proportioned head, good earset, well defined forechest, good ribbing & tailset, well muscled quarters, a new jacket coming through, steady on the move.

OB (2)

1 RBB, Tobijanski’s Zippor Sapphire Jones, gives a good picture in profile, balanced head, strong muzzle, well made front assembly, lovely run-in & layback to firm loin, level topline, & tailset on, well presented jacket, positive front movement but disappointed in rear movement;

2 Trezise-Dundas’ Cibach Cheeky Chops at Firstwish, balanced head, well shaped eyes, good forechest, ribs well sprung, could be shorter in the loin, well muscled hindquarters, moved freely.
