SCOTTISH SOUTH WALES 23 Judge: Miss E A Ingram I am extremely embarrassed and disappointed to find that somehow or other my critique for Scotties has completely disappeared from my iPad and despite many attempts to retrieve it, I have not been able to. My sincere apologies to the exhibitors, it has never, ever happened to me before! I will attempt to write as best I can remember, reports on the main winners but unfortunately I do not remember all the dogs. 1 Evingbriar Bandsman Bescott (Coley) Such a lovely start to my day’s judging to see this lovely youngster coming into the ring. He was presented in lovely crisp coat and oozed personality. Long, clean head with dark expressive eyes, strong arched neck running into well laid shoulders, well ribbed body, low to the ground, short back and plenty behind the tail, was a strong contender in the challenge. Best Puppy. 2 WITHHELD. 1 Perhaps Supa Dupa (Kammonen). 1 Tout Nouveau Tout Beau Du Clan Des Petits Colonels Karmaristol (imp)JW (Nixon) 2 Divadell Who’s The Man (Norton & Harrison-Brown) 3 Trimscott Idris Elba (Hughes). 1 Divadell’s Charging Bear (Norton) 1 Berrybreeze Spirit Master (Chapman & Tyler) This dog caught my eye when I had my first look around with his classic outline and good harsh coat. He did not disappoint when I went over him on the table with his long clean head, keen expression, well set ears, strong arched neck, good bone and feet. He scored with his sturdy, compact body, good ribcage and low set body. He has strong hindquarters which he uses well on the move. I wish he had the attitude of the 2nd dog but I just loved his overall type. CC. 2 Nl Ch Lucia’s Dream Solar Pretty (Leonard & Smit-Kamerbeek) What wonderful attitude and ring presence this dog has, he truly owned the ring! Long head with strong jaws, good dentition and keen expression. Well arched neck, good topline and tail set, plenty behind the tail. He moved vey well with lovely carriage and plenty of drive. Res CC. 3 Berrybreeze Magical Spirit (Chapman & Lidgett). 1 WITHHELD. 1 Brueik Olivia’s Star Maker (Bradley & Herd) 2 top quality bitches who could easily change places, both shown in super coat and condition with great outlines and moving well. Lovely, long clean heads with dark expressive eyes and well set ears. Winner scored with her short, sturdy body and great rib cage. 2 Brueik Olivia’s Star Chaser with Berrybreeze (Chapman) 3 Pamaswater Flaron (Taylor) 1 Celmareva Extravaganza (Spry). 2 WITHHELD. 1 Berrybreeze Spirit Seeker (Chapman) What a star this girl is with her lovely outline, great coat and typical Scottie attitude. Lovely long head with strong jaws and dark expressive eyes. Well set ears. Strong arched neck running into well laid shoulders, good bone, sturdy, low set body, strong hindquarters which she uses well on the move. CC and BOB. Delighted to see her shortlisted in the group. 1 Berrybreeze Quintessa (Coles) Close decision between these first 2 bitches, both shown in lovely coat and condition and I would have been happy to give either of them top honours. Long clean head with good dentition, keen expression and well placed ears. Scored with her classic arched neck and good front. Correct bone, good ribcage and strong hindquarters. Moved really well with good carriage and outline. Res CC. 2 Quaint Sabayon (Imp Fin) (Maidment) Quality bitch with very nice head and expression, well placed ears and good mouth. Short back with well sprung ribs and good tail set, strong hindquarters, moved with drive and good carriage. 3 Carseview Storm in A Teacup (Kelly). |
