SCOTTISH SOUTH WALES 16 Judge(s): ANDREW H BRACE Scottish Terriers PD (3) 1 Emmins’ Mozart du Moulin de Mac Gregor, 9 months black who won his overall balance & attitude. Quality head which can strengthen in foreface, well boned & bodied for his size. Moved true holding his outline well & on his toes at all times. BP; 2 Mahmoudi’s Glengracie Jetson, 11 months brindle with lots of type about him but longer cast than 1. Masculine head. Excellent rib, strong bone, topline needs to settle. Moved quite well; 3 Hill’s Samstevever Chantilly Boy. JD (1) 1 Harrison-Brown’s Trefaldwyn King David, 17 months black showing happily & with the most marvellous muscletone in his hindquarters. A little string in backskull, eye could be darker, rather long cast & tail a little low set. Good coat texture. PGD (1) 1 Tyler’s Divadell Room At The Top, brindle dog of good basic type, a little strong in backskull, good bone & rib, quality coat, moves with enthusiasm. LD (2) 1 Pagram’s Torcraig Sydnificant, medium size black of quality, clean skull, well placed & carried ears, keen expression, big ribbed & well boned, quality coat well presented. Could be a little better let down behind but moved true with good carriage. Very much all of a piece. Won the CC, his second apparently, & was then beaten for BOB by his litter sister; 2 Hill’s Samstevever Gold Amulet, wheaten carrying far too much weight & not really enjoying himself. Presentation could be better & head lacks a little quality. OD (1) 1 Crawshaw’s Trakside Wellington at Levenkirk, black with attitude aplenty. Medium size, well balanced outline, good head type, used his ears well, solid body, breaks a little in topline but moves true up, down & around. Could also have a little more behind the tail. RCC. PB (2) 1 Emmins’ Miss Castrophe du Moulin de Mac Gregor, 9 months black, typy & feminine. Good basic shape, appealing head & expression, enough bone & rib, promising coat, handled herself well on the move; 2 Weall’s Wringtonbell Ready To Rock, another 9 months black with much to like but considerably longer cast than 1. Impressive forehand, firm topline, good set on, excellent coat texture. JB (2) 1 Becquet & Darby’s Minorlines Princess Royal Becscott, feminine brindle of 12 months, quality head, typical expression, balanced outline with sufficient substance & rib. Moved true & with style, promising coat. RCC; 2 Norton’s Divadell Fly Me To The Moon, 12 months black longer cast than 1 & not quite her coat texture. A little stronger in skull than 1 but is well boned with good spring of rib. Moved quite well. PGB (2) 1 Rundle’s Samstevever Ellimay, brindle of excellent type with some quality. Backskull could be cleaner but good head profile, enough neck, firm backline, well sprung ribs. Moved true but could be more assertive with her tail; 2 Hoare’s Brueik Bright And Beautiful at Glenaffric, black, rather less well bodied than 1 & longer cast. Lovely head type with impressive expression & well held ears. Movement could be more positive. LB (1) 1 Pagram’s Torcraig Sea Pearl, compact black of excellent overall type. Quality head & expression if foreface could be stronger. Just enough neck, good bone & great spring of rib, sound & steady mover. Excellent shape & balance of outline. Quality coat, won the CC & BOB & is now evidently a very worthy champion. OB (2) 1 Kelly’s Carseview Hurricane Hannah, black of good basic type if a little long cast. Quality head of good proportions, good to handle with ample substance, could have a better set on with more behind the tail; 2 Mahmoudi’s Ch/Sw Ch Brio Inquizitive, black in amazing condition for her 10½ years. Pleasing head type, lots of substance, topline not as settled as 1. Moved with enthusiasm. VB (1) 1 Ch/Sw Ch B Inquizitive. ANDREW H BRACE
