Scottish Terriers

Thank you for your entry. Depth in quality was evident in the bitch line up & I liked all the bitches who had won their class. The dogs were not as deep in quality. Many thanks to my stewards.

VD

1 Rabbonai Playmaker, 7 years old, a little long for balance, but in excellent coat & scoring in topline & tail carriage. Strongly boned. Good head & ears;

2 Polwicks Black Tourmaline of Tahgmor, 9 years, low slung compact dog who moved with purpose. I liked his head & shortness of body. However his topline & coat could not match the winner.

MPD

1 Stuane Coast Guard, 8 months, very forward in body with excellent length of head. Ears could be neater, scored in rib & quarters on the day. Strongly boned. Moving accurately with vigour & depth of self importance. BP;

2 Black Thorpe Broadsword, 7 months, wonderful temperament & topline, but not as forward in rib chest & quarters. Long clean head. Excellent tailset. Good front action. Full of spirit & should come on well.

PD

1 Rabbonai Ringleader at Miacarla, 10 months, not very cooperative on the floor but scoring in substance, quarters & movement. Good head type;

2 Divadell Room At The Top, brindle of 11 months, a little longer cast & needs to fill out in rib & chest. Strong head, tail carriage set & topline needs to improve. Dog & handler will benefit from some schooling.

PGD

1 Rilynson Adonis, 18 months low to ground dog who needs to develop in ribs. Good head, eye & ears. Coat texture good but needs a little more attention to trimming. Front action sound. Needs a little more strength behind.

LD

1 Samstevever Gold Amulet, 2 year wheaten who needs more terrier spirit to be seen at his best. Strong head, good rib, I’d prefer a little more width in front & depth. Good coat of good texture;

2 P Black Tormaline of T.

OD

1 Ch Stuane Kings Sword, 2 years, lovely type & full of spirit, short backed, big ribbed & excellent movement. Substance with quality. Won on compactness here & took CC & BOB;

2 Ch Brio Oliver Twist, slightly bigger dog with excellent outline & topline held on the move. Great substance, head has quality & balances his size, I preferred compactness of winner. RCC;

3 Trakside Wellington at Levenkirk.

VB

Two top class bitches & a credit to breed & owners.

1 Ch/Sw Ch Brio Inquisitive, 9 years black in beautiful condition with superb head, ears & eye. Great substance. Powered round the ring with firm topline, scored in quarters to take this class. Just edged out for higher award by the two more spirited bitches. BV;

2 Rilynson Island Princess, 11 years brindle in great form & superb coat texture. Like the winner has clear & full dentition. Very good head & ears & full of spirit. Excellent topline, winner just a little better let down in quarters.

MPB

Two very promising puppies.

1 Trakside Fable at Wesscots, 7 months black, lovely breed type & full of spirit. Lovely legs & feet & good ribs for her age. Clean, long head. Eye could be a touch smaller. Scored in lowness to ground for me;

2 Samstever Phenix over Divadell, 8 months brindle, full of spirit & carries herself well. Good coat well presented. At the moment a little high on the leg & can drop into her frame. She too moved very well & has great promise.

PB

1 Riulynson Aruba Arshucas, 11 months brindle, easy winner of this class despite showing typical breed stubbornness. Short backed, well ribbed & carried level with strong topline when she decided to. I liked her type a lot. Could just be a little stronger in feet but a convincing winner her & scored in finish of body & chest to take BPB despite her stubborness on the move;

2 Skircoat Sicilienne of Tahgmor, 11 months, moved with great terrier spirit & self importance. She is a little long for balance & needs some more substance, long clean head. Topline could be firmer;

3 Rabbonai Raindrop.

JB

1 Kingsview Just Freya, 15 months, lovely quality bitch, short backed with excellent substance. Very good front with good width & chest. Excellent head & eye & ears. Moved freely in excellent coat & went with good topline. Should have a very good future. In the challenge she showed great spirit & attitude to take RCC.

PGB

1 Black Thorpe Lost In You, 22 months black, lovely size & balance. Short backed & with good head. I would prefer a touch more bone but she has good ribs & substance. Excellent quarters which she uses well. Good coat texture;

2 Brueik Bright And Beautiful at Glenaffric, 2 year old, low slung bitch, a little too low to ground & this shows in her front action. Good head, eye & ears. Too much hair on legs detracts from front.

LB

1 Black Thorpe Bianca,5 years, scoring in size & type for me. Good head but I’d prefer darker eye. Needs more rear angulation & this shows in her topline. Moved with spirit & good in front;

2 Celebrity Du Movlin De McMoni Que, 3 years wheaten, top sized bitch with a lot of substance, but I would prefer a little less of her all through. Sound mover & shows with spirit. I just preferred femininity & lowness to ground of the winner.

OB

All these bitches of CC quality.

1 Ch Nillingford Cloud Berry, beautiful bitch of 4 years, stood out here, lovely type all through. Low to ground & with excellent substance. Lovely length of head & excellent ears. Moved with accuracy & spirit. Convincing CC, just lost out for BOB on firmness of topline & expression;

2 Ch Stuane Sword Dancer, 2 years, I liked her substance & lowness to ground which won her this place. I would prefer a cleaner skull & a touch more foreface to balance her;

3 Dottys Little Girl at Rabbonai.
