SCOTTISH WELSH KENNEL CLUB 14 Judge: Mrs Z Thorn-Andrews BEST OF BREED : 5095 MILLER Miss J Ch Brio Oliver Twist SCOTTISH JUDGE WELSH KENNEL CLUB 14 Scottish Terriers VD (2) 1 Greenwood’s Petmon Light Of My Life, good solid dog, maybe a touch overweight, moving OK & in lovely jacket. Pleasing head & broad jaws, OK in front & topline firm. MPD (2) 1 BP, Cole’s Rilynson Aramis, just 6 months & doesn’t have any top coat yet. Furnishings OK & super length to head, sound front, excellent topline, well boned & tight feet. PD (1) A. JD (2) 1 Plane’s Stuane Kings Sword, good length & strength of head, strong neck, short back, elbows rather under him & not at the side, tail set right on top, well bodied, moving well & super presentation; 2 Hill’s Samstevever Gold Amulet, a bit elbowy but moves towards me OK & is very strong in rear. Lovely head, good pigment for a wheaten. A touch long in back perhaps. A nice boy. PGD (5) 1 Greenwood’s Petmon Royal Magician, solid boy, overweight in body, good mover & well muscled. A little more neck would improve maybe, neat ears, set well, good mouth; 2 Meek’s Benartybrae Macarena at Benbetham, fairly short backed wheaten. Bottom jaw too narrow, good to go over & moved with verve. Beautiful eyes & pigment 3 Cole’s Rabbonai Playmaker. LD (2) 1 RCC, Rees’ Rabbonai Gilead at Miacarla, smashing dog, mature, lovely front & forechest, good foreface, strong & broad in jaws, enough neck for balance, short firm back, excellent quarters & drive behind. Tail set well. In lovely muscle & coat, moving well all round; 2 W/h. OD (3) 1 CC & BOB, Miller’s Ch Brio Oliver Twist, masculine & so strong in head & body, has the width & strength in movement needed. Moved precisely in front & rear. Not too fat in body & a lovely thick harsh coat, smashing type & quality; 2 Bradley & Herd’s Brueik’s Bjorn, a mite weak in foreface & he moved close in front & rear. Lovely profile & a great neck & high withers. Also not overweight in body & he covers plenty of ground in profile movement; 3 Green & Farrand’s Royal Dragoon Captain Colin Campbell. VB (3) 1 Greenwood’s Petmon Miss Tiggywinkle, going well in front & rear & travelling nicely in profile for age. Pleasing head, good neck, OK in front. Body rather too fat & she needs more rear angulation. In good coat & overall condition for 7 years; 2 Greenwood’s Amber Go with Petmon, another lovely oldie who does everything at her pace! For 10 years old she is looking very well & a credit to her owner. MPB & PB (1) A. JB (0). PGB (5) 1 CC, Plane’s Stuane Sword Dancer, stands & shows herself which was lovely to see. I liked her head, dark sparkling eyes, great temperament, sound front, short broad back. Has a good enough bend of stifle, coat in good order, terrific mover & tail bang on top; 2 P Miss Tiggywinkle; 3 Meek’s Benartybrae Love In A Mist at Benbetham. LB (4) 1 Averis’ Gemma Stonehenge Remuage, close between 1 & 2, I thought winner a shade shorter in back, although a little less weight would improve her topline as she is carrying extra weight over her rump. Pleasing head, eyes, & expression. Ears set beautifully & she uses them well. OK in front, well ribbed, excellent tail & in good coat; 2 Rowland & Rees’ Dottys Little Girl at Rabbonai, also a nice head, feminine & of good length, enough neck to balance her head. A trifle too long in back, excellent body, weight & she was very fit. Moved precisely also; 3 Cole’s Rabbonai Naughty But Nice. OB (3) 1 RCC, Emmins’ Kingsview Just The One, solid & sound, good to go over & a lovely front & forechest, reasonable feet, firm backline & fair quarters. Moved well in front & profile, just a wee bit close in rear. Coat a touch greasy but it is hard; 2 Kasinowski’s Happy End Du Moulin De Mac Gregor, wheaten whose temperament was rather ‘fiery’, standing looks well, good neck & fairly short coupled. Moved too close coming towards, otherwise a lovely body & ribbing 3 Mahmoudi’s Ch/Sw Ch Brio Inquizitive. ZENA THORN ANDREWS |
