SCOTTISH JUDGE WELSH KC 11

Scottish Terriers

Not a great depth of quality but main winners pleased me. I think some would look better with a trim that suited the particular dog.

MPD (0).

PD (1)

1 Coley’s Kingsview Just Stewart, sturdy masculine dog, moved very well, long head, clean cheeks. Slightly large ears, a wee bit thick & short in neck for his length back. Big ribs, well laid shoulders, firm topline, good turn of stifle & low hocks. RCC & BP.

JD (3) Withdrawn.

PGD (3)

1 Rees’ Rabbonai Gilead at Miacarla, masculine sturdy dog, has a lean & clean head, which is where he scores over 2, fair neck, good legs & feet, big ribs, strong rear with low hocks. Could be better in topline;

2 Thomas’ Geomeg Edison, sturdy type of dog, just a bit broad in skull. Fair neck, super ribs, could have slightly more lay of shoulder. True out & back;

3 Hill’s Polwicks Black Tourmaline of Tahmog.

LD (2)

1 Rees’ Rabbonai Black Diamond at Miacarla, sturdy dog, lovely short back giving correct proportions, length & masculine head, just a little cheeky. Slightly thick in neck, big ribs going well back to a short loin. Strong rear, true on move, could just have a little more stride. Lovely harsh jacket;

2 Hill’s Bonnieanne Norman of Tahgmor, masculine dog, not the coat quality of 1 & just a bit long in back. Lengthy head, dark eyes, well set ears, well ribbed & strong rear.

OD (2)

1 Farrand’s Ch Amberyl Beinn Mor, full of himself, using ears whole time, long head, fairly clean skull & cheeks, enough neck with short hard back, well ribbed body, fair front, good turn of stifle, low set hocks, moved very well. CC & BOB;

2 B Norman of T.

MPB (1)

1 Thomson’s Ashgate Pennies From Heaven, feminine baby, super personality, lengthy head, super eye & expression, enough neck & firm topline. Needs a slightly longer ribcage. Moves very true & has a harsh coat.

PB (1)

1 Cole’s Berrybreeze Colour My Life, true mover out & back, feminine head, flat skull & very good strength of muzzle. Could have more neck & is in very heavy coat which emphasises this. Big ribs carried well back, low hocks. Not topline of MP.

JB A.

PGB (1)

1 Cole’s Rabbonai Naughty But Nice, lovely head, long & clean with strength & super eye & expression. Could have more width to her front, tad long in back. In super coat, well muscled up.

LB (2)

1 Corney’s Rilynson Sunshine Princess, strong sort of bitch but still feminine, pleasing head, clean cheeks. Stands rather close in front but good forechest & big ribs. Level topline, well set on tail, super rear, in very good coat. RCC.

OB (4)

1 Pagram’s Torcraig Fair Enough, very good type of Scottie, feminine bitch with long head, cleaner in cheek than 2, lengthy neck, well ribbed, fairly short back, broad chest, good legs & feet, quite a good rear, moves well, did enough with tail for CC;

2 Corney’s Rilynson Island Princess, sturdy bitch, could be cleaner in skull. Good neck. Not quite topline of 1, needs a bit more bend of stifle. Lovely big ribs, well set on tail.
