SCOTTISH JUDGE SKC AUGUST 13

SCOTTISH TERRIERS.

Not a good hall for judging Scotties, the lighting was inadequate and the flooring was dark making it doubly difficult to see black dogs. I was however very happy with my principal winners and would like say thank you to the exhibitors for bringing clean dogs.

PUPPY DOG

1. Byrne & Vickers’ Eskwyre Just William. Short coupled puppy with enough bone, balanced head and dark eye, used his ears when settled, strong neck into well laid shoulders, level top line, tail on top, good quarters which showed in his movement, proper double coat, well put down .

2. Todd’s Eskwyre Waterloo Sunset. Similar to no. 1 but just a shade longer in loin, correct front assembly, tight well padded feet, nice head and ears, enough neck, correct shoulders, nice bend of stifle, good caot texture, well put down, moved with drive.

3. Tunstall’s Liroda Harris Tweed.

JUNIOR DOG

1. Beckton’s Glengracie Formula One. Wheaten with long head and well placed ears, dark eye, plenty of quality bone, correct front, well muscled neck, good shoulders, deep brisket, ribbed well back, level top line, plenty behind the tail, strong quarters, plenty of well groomed quality coat, moved with drive and never stopped showing.

2. Aiken’s Slievecroob Fergus. Super front, plenty of space, broad chest, pleasing head and ears, strong neck and well laid shoulders, good spring of rib going well back, short loin, tail on top, nice double coat, top really harsh, well put down, moved ok.
