SCOTTISH JUDGE RICHMOND 10

Scottish Terriers

V

1 Maidment’s Berrybreeze Enlighting, 7 years black bitch with a long head, dark eye & neat well set ears, moderate length of neck set into good shoulders, good front, low to ground with well sprung ribs, short loin, good quarters, was shown in super condition, moved well & was also well handled by this young exhibitor.

PD

1 Hardy’s Magandthan Black Heather, low to ground, thick set pup with a strong clean head, neat well set ears, good neck & shoulder, deep wide front, good bone was well sprung for age, strong loin, big quarters, well presented, moved OK. Needs to settle. Should do well. BPD.

JD (0).

PGD (4,1a)

1 Greenwood’s Petmon Light Of My Life, nice type of black with good balance, long head with good proportions, clean cheek, ears were well set, neck & shoulder OK, deep chest bone was OK, low to ground with well sprung rib, strong loin, sound quarters, moved well, very well presented. Would just like him a little more masculine;

2 Hardy’s Magandthan Waiting For You, a nice type with much the same remarks applying, well presented & handled but not so good in front as 1;

3 Chick’s Brueiks Magical Connection.

OD (3,1)

1 Lawrence’s Sweetgarret My Wee Geordie, have judged this brindle boy before, he continues to improve, long head, sound bite, good eye, uses his well set ears nicely, good neck & shoulder, wide deep front, good bone, low to ground with deep well sprung rib, strong loin, short coupled with tail bang on top, sound wide strong quarters, moved very well & was well handled & presented. BD;

2 Hill’s Bonnieanne Norman of Tahgmor, strongly made, thick set, low to ground dog who moved OK. Both his teeth & coat need attention.

PB (6,2)

Good class of babies with very little separating the first three.

1 Hill’s Blackthorpe Biance, showy type full of quality, correct head with dark eye & clean cheeks, neat well set ears, deep sound front, has good bone for age, moved both steadily & well which was the deciding factor against PD, should have a bright future, could have taken her home. BP;

2 Baker & Hopcutts’ Glenheath Country Life, many of the above remarks also apply to this bitch, I feel they will change places many times but on the day preferred front & steadier movement of 1 but should do well;

3 Boyce’s Trakside Love Charm.

JB (4)

Best class of the day.

1 Hardy’s Trakside Spring time of Magandthan, short coupled & well balanced brindle, she has a strong clean well proportioned head, dark set eyes, well set ears, correct deep front of good width, strong bone, low to ground with good rib & short loin, wide deep quarters, tail bang on top, moved well, well handled & presented. Just needs finish & maturity to trouble the best. RBB;

2 Baker’s Glenheath Grazia, hard to separate these two good bitches, this girl has a good head, good neck & shoulder, very deep low to ground body, short back, strong quarters & moved very well. Just preferred head & topline (stacked) of 1;

3 Tyzack’s Gaterin Over Exposed.

PGB (5,2)

1 G Grazia, shone in this class;

2 Lawrence’s Turnaware Tarri of Sweetgarret, litter sister to BOB, typical Scottie who was deep & low but not as short or moving as well as 1;

3 Greenwood’s Petmon Miss Twiggy Winkle.

OB (4,1)

1 Hill’ Turnaware Tanya, good old fashioned strong Scottie who was so sound, long well proportioned head with a punishing jaw, sound bite, keen eye, well set & used ears, strong neck let into good shoulders, deep well filled front, plenty of bone, well slung & well sprung ribs, strong loin, powerful quarters, moved well as a Scottie should with correct gait, topline held well with tail on top. BOB;

2 Tyzack’s Int/Bel Ch Scotline Ginger Snap for Gaterin, a different type to 1, compact but well balanced, good head & was low to ground, sound quarters, moved well. Just preferred the front on 1;

3 G Grazia.
