SCOTTISH NATIONAL TERRIER 24 Judge: Mr D J Mathias SCOTTISH JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 24 SBD/B (1) 1 McNiven/Bryson’s Frazandmitch Top Of The Game. Shown well and handled, good head and eye with correct expression, good in front and neck and shoulder, level top-line, good depth of rib carried well back into strong loin, correct tail set, good width of quarters, bend of stifle correct and good hock, went well, BSpB. VD/B (5) 1 Kirt Gellatly/Kenny Marriott’s Ch. Millingford Hudson. Quality dog (out of the great brood bitch Cloudberry) long in head, correct in eye, correct ear carriage, excellent width of front and depth of brisket, rib of excellent width, excellent in neck and shoulder, firm in loin, correct tail set, good bend of stifle, hock strong, excellent presentation, RDCC & BV. 2 Broome’s Liroda Midnight Kiss at Evingbriar VW. This bitch showed her head off, good presentation, excellent head and expression, correct ear set, good width of chest, correct in brisket and rib, good shoulder placement, correct in hock and stifle, RBCC. MPD (3) 1 Taylor’s Pamaswater Hakuna Matata. Correct in head and eye, rib well back and of good depth, strength of loin good, good quarters, went well. 2 Redfern’s Eimahan’s Last Jedi. Correct in type, would prefer to be shorter coupled, head and eye good, front and brisket good, went well. 3 Webster’s Eimahan’s Phantom Menace of Pepilarue. PD (4) 1 Kenny Marriott/Marriott’s Millingford Blue Thunder. Very promising and typical of this kennel, enjoying his day, good in head and ear, head of correct proportion and length, excellent neck and shoulder, correct width of chest and brisket for age, rib of good width and depth, top-line and loin of strength, hocks short and correct, well presented (by my RDCC). 2 Redfern’s Eimahan’s Last Jedi. Another of promise, well presented, good width of front, correct in rib and strength of loin, good quarters, went well. 3 Webster’s Eimahan’s Phantom Menace of Pepilarue. JD (1) 1 Coley’s Evingbriar Bandsman Becscott. Alone in this class, good head and eye, brisket and front correct, neck muscular into correct shoulder placement, good rib carried well back giving firm top-line which he carried on the move, good quarters, hocks correct and strong, went well, very well presented. PGD (4,1) 1 Broome’s Evingbriar War Of The Roses. Very well presented, correct head and good length, correct in eye and ear, neck runs into shoulder at correct angle, firm in rib which were of correct depth, top-line straight being carried by length of rib, good strength of loin, good width of hindquarters which he used on the move. 2 Pendlebury’s Pamaswater Bold Begonia at Kamondale. Correct in front and width of chest, head of correct proportions, top-line firm on the move, good in quarters and hock. 3 Hill’s Tahgmor Take Initiative. LD (5) 1 Harrison-Brown/Norton’s Divadell Who’s The Man. Excellent presentation, correct head and eye, good ear set, neck of good length being not overdone, good shoulder angle into top-line which was of correct firm and level, good in loin, good stifle and hock, went well. 2 Lockwood’s Filisite Brash Rare Treasure at Lochgems (imp). Pushed hard here, would have liked more animation on the move, good head, eye and ear, loved his neck into shoulder, good width of front and brisket, top-line firm on the move, loin very good, hock and stifle very good. 3 Norton’s Divadell’s Charging Bear. OD (4) 1 Cockayne’s Am Ch Trakside Gabriel Oak TAF. Well, well, well, excellent at every angle, beautiful head, eye and expression, excels in brisket and front shoulder placement and neck to die for, firm level top-line, rib firm and strength of loin, super quarters and hock, very well handled on the day, excellent prospect, DCC & BOB. 2 Ashworth’s Russalan Crimson Coburn for Naviba. Another nice dog of good type, head and eye giving a good expression, correct front and shoulder, neck into shoulder good, level topline, went well. 3 Chapman/Lidgett’s Berrybreeze Magical Spirit. MPB (2) 1 Taylor’s Pamaswater Cycle of Life. Correct in head and eye, ear placement correct, good front and brisket, correct in neck and shoulder, rib well back, good loin and bend of stifle, hock good. 2 Redfern’s Eimahan’s A New Hope. Overall pleasing, same remarks apply as above but would have preferred less length of body and a firmer topline on the move. PB (2) 1 Kenny Marriott/Marriott’s Millingford Out Of The Blue. Litter sister to my PD winner and my RDCC winner, loved her stance and showmanship here which gave her BPIB, very good type, very good head and expression, correct in neck and shoulder, good front and brisket, firm loin, excellent hock and quarters. 2 Redfern’s Eimahan’s A New Hope. 2nd in MPB. PGB (6,3) 1 McCracken’s Carisco Myrtle Beach to Amawyn JW. Lot to like here, head and eye of correct shape, head of good expression and length, loved her body properties and rib, strong loin, excellent quarters and tail set, hock correct and bend of stifle which she used on the move. 2 Barton-Smith’s Russian Rosenda Rose. Good head, eye correct, correct in front and brisket, neck and shoulder into rib very good but on the move top-line wasn’t as good as 1st due to the fact of not the bend of stifle and hock on the move. 3 Taylor’s Pamaswater Flaron. LB (5,1) 1 Bradley/Herd’s Brueik Olivia’s Star Maker. Loved this bitch, very good head and eye, head of correct proportions, excellent front and brisket, neck into shoulder, correct in angle, super rib and depth, strong loin, excellent quarters, moved well, pushed hard. 2 McKay/Kirk-Gellatly’s Whitwitch No Mercy. Well shown and handled, excellent presentation and out of my BCC winner, good head and proportions, excellent front and neck into shoulder, loved her hock and stifle on the move. 3 Knight/Poolton’s Russalan Martha Rosa JW. OB (4) 1 Kirk-Gellatly’s Millinford Stargazer. Well what can I say, this 6½ year old was exactly what I look for, super head and eye, front of correct proportions and width, loved her neck into shoulder, level top-line into tail carriage and excellent quarters, hocks and stifle and was pleased to be told it was her 3rd BCC and another offspring of Cloudberry, well done. 2 Chapman’s Brueik Olivia’s Star Chaser with Berrybreeze. Pushed hard here but just lacked maturity overall compared to first, same remarks apply, excellent presentation finished the picture. 3 Maidment’s Quaint Sabayon (Imp Fin). Mr D J Mathias |
