SCOTTISH NATIONAL TERRIER 13 Judge(s): MRS J GREEN (IONASCOT) Scottish Terriers MPD (0). PD (2) 1 Peace’s Berrybreeze Masterpeace, 11 months, most pleasing outline, nice balanced head, good eyeset, level topline, good tailset. Needs time. Very promising. BP; 2 Sykes’ Sandbourne Ready Freddie Go, attractive brindle, good front. Preferred head of 1. JD (2) 1 Beckton’s Glengracie Formula One, wheaten, lovely outline, in super coat, balanced head & true front, nice run in of neck, good shoulders, excellent hindquarters, moved with drive; 2 Meek’s Benartybrae Macarena, wheaten, head balanced, good front & body properties, excellent spring of rib, true coming & going. Much to like but coat not in such good condition as 1. ND (1) 1 B Macarena. PGD (5) 1 Rutherford’s Carisco Midas Touch, wheaten, nice outline, head & ears correct, big ribs, good neck & shoulders, low to ground, level topline, well muscled hindquarters, moved out well, stood foursquare; 2 Maw & Shaw’s Pendlehill Plutocrat, black, lovely compact dog, nice expression, dark eye, good run in of neck, level topline, well balanced throughout. Coat not as good as 1; 3 Hill’s Polwicks Black Tourmaline of Tahgmor. LD (4) 1 Peace’s Berrybreeze Say Cheese, black, nice balanced head & expression, good ear & tailset, level topline, in good coat, covered the ground well; 2 Rees’ Rabbonai Gilhead at Miacarla, black, well muscled body, head of good proportions. Coat not in such good condition as 1 & preferred head of 1; 3 Lawrence’s Sweetgarret My Wee Geordie. OD (7) 1 Coley’s Kingsview Just Stewart, brindle, looks like he could really do a job of work & would be willing to go anywhere & do anything. Low to ground, excellent type, well presented, long balanced head, nice expression, level topline, strong hindquarters, good front, much to like. CC; 2 Tovey’s Ch Trakside Flying Scotsman at Charmic, black, liked his manner, nice outline, used himself well, good length of head with flat skull, good head, eye & earset, well balanced, short coupled, good hindquarters, moved out well. RCC; 3 Earl’s Rolanka Bucks Fizz. MPB (1) 1 Boyce’s Trakside Scotsmans Girl, black of 6 months at first show. Pleasing head, nice eye, good front, so well balanced, used ring well, promising. Lots to like about her. PB (3) 1 Morris’ Terratom Chiquitita at Scotchmore, brindle of 9 months, in good coat, nice expression, well set on ears, clean skull, well balanced body properties; 2 Rowland & Rees’ Dottys Little Girl at Rabbonai, black of 9 months, well balanced head, nice expression, moved OK, good front & topline; 3 Salmon’s Kincea Miss Edenlexie. JB (4) 1 Walker’s Benartybrae Salsa avec Beaureveur, compact, good type, nice head, good run in of neck & shoulders, good topline & strong hindquarters which she used to advantage in the ring. Good tailset, in super coat, moved with drive; 2 Shadbolt’s Akura Starbux, wheaten, needs time to mature. Wasn’t using her ears to advantage & not so positive as 1 but she looked well in profile; 3 K Miss Edenlexie. NB (3) 1 Kirk’s Whitwitch Twigglet, black, short backed, level topline, correct front, nicely balanced, good tailset, in good coat; 2 Lawrence’s Chatterdale Dark Star of Sweetgarret, nice black, nice brisket, good front. Ears could be used better. Good tailset; 3 Coope’s Carisco Leading Lady. PGB (7) 1 Fry’s Finloch Henrietta, black, very nice outline, excellent properties, good front, well balanced, moved out with drive; 2 Orr’s Blackthorpe Betty On The Box, black, feminine, nice outline, ear placement OK, good body properties. Lost out to movement of 1; 3 Rees’ Rabbonai Blackberry at Miacarla. LB (6) 1 Hardy’s Trakside Springtime of Magandthan, brindle, nice size, attractive head & ear placement, good front, short coupled, deep ribcage, level topline, good tailset, very well handled. Pushed hard for RCC; 2 Barnett’s Barnwin Witches Brew, black, well up to size, good bone & substance, strong hindquarters, well muscled up, moved OK: 3 Cole’s Rabbonai Naughty But Nice. OB (5) 1 Kenny’s Millingford Cloudberry, took my eye as soon as she entered the ring, holds her outline on the move & moves round the ring like a ship in full sail. So well balanced, most attractive head & eye, neat ears, super body properties for her size, good front, level topline, correct tailset. CC & BOB; 2 Dixon’s Barnwin Morning Bliss at Chatterdale, bigger than 1 but quality all round. Head of good length, nice dark eye, good ear placement, hindquarters powerful, in top form.
