Thank you to the exhibitors for such a lovely entry and presentation of their dogs and the stewards for running my day ever so smoothly. It was lovely to see new exhibitors too as this is usually rare but good for the future of the breed so hope we will keep seeing them. We had no veterans on the day as they were absent but the puppy classes were good and all dogs had good sound qualities and placings in several classes were very close indeed. Also again I was given the opportunity to go over some very lovely champions. My best dog and Best of Breed was Kelly & Kelly’s Ch. Carseview Mr Goodfella and reserve best dog was Cockayne & Boyce’s Ch. Trakside Gabriel Oak Taf. My best bitch was Kirk-Gellatly’s Millingford Stargazer being awarded her first CC and reserve best bitch was Maidment & Maidment’s Ch. Berrybreeze Quintadacious For Spinakers. My best Puppy in Breed was Dixon’s Chatterdale Catch a Star. Very happy with my winners all deserving of their awards. PD (3) 1. Rutherford’s Carisco Colour Of The Wind - A brindle baby just starting off but already showing his qualities and very promising and presented in very good harsh jacket. Good bone and substance, low to ground, pleasing head, short body, tail on top moving well, just need a little more confidence. Best puppy dog. 2. Lockwood’s Filisite Brash Rare Treasure At Lochgems Naf(Imp) - 11 months old black with pleasing head and nice expression, good mouth, good body properties and tail set but need time to develop into body. Nicely presented in good coat and moved soundly. 3. Forsyth’s Queens Legacy At Kierview JD (2) 1. Greenwood’s Petmon Royal Ruffian - Masculine black, smartly presented in very tight jacket but perhaps a little short of furnishings on the day, pleasing clean head, dark eye, good mouth, neat ears, muscular neck, short back, level topline, low to ground, adequate bone and substance, moved well and soundly. 2. Nixon’s Tout Nouveau Tout Beau Du Clan Des Petits Colonels Karmaristol (Imp Fra) - Just one year old youngster in good harsh jacket, nice head and expression, good body properties, moved well. PGD (6,2) 1.Tyler’s Berrybreeze Spirit Master - Black youngster, well presented in double coat and harsh jacket, pleasant head with strong muzzle, dark eye, good mouth, nice wide front, muscular neck, well laid shoulders, short back, low to ground, good set on. Good bones and substance and good spring of ribs. Moved and showed well. 2. Ashworth’s Russalan Crimson Coburn - Another lovely black just a size smaller with nice clean head and deep dark eye, keen expression and good body properties, short back, level topline and low to ground. Well presented in good harsh jacket. Moved soundly and showed to advantage. 3. Harrison-Brown & Norton’s Divadell Who’s The Man LD (3,1) 1. Chapman & Lidgett’s Berrybreeze Magical Spirit - Quality masculine black presented in good double coat and harsh jacket with good bones and plenty of substance. Pleasant head and expression, good deep dark eye, good mouth, strong muzzle, muscular neck, good wide front, well laid shoulders, deep body well ribbed, well angulated, short back, low to gound, tail on top and strong quarters. Well balanced, low to ground and good bone but preferred front and substance of 1. Moved well and soundly and showed to advantage. OD (4,1) 1. Kelly & Kelly’s Ch Carseview Mr Goodfella, Lovely quality brindle that attracted my eye the moment he came into the ring and did not disappoint me when going over him, immaculately presented in best coat with fully furnished skirt so well groomed and maintained and correct double coat and harsh jacket and well balanced throughout. Pleasant clean head of good length, lovely dark eye, good mouth, well set ears, muscular neck and quarters with good bone and plenty of substance. Lovely clean head of good length, good alert dark eye, good mouth and dentition, nice ears well placed and muscular neck.
