SCOTTISH LEEDS 19 Judge: Mr Frank Kane BEST OF BREED : 2335 KIRK-GELLATLY Mrs L Carisco Miss Velocity SCOTTISH JUDGE LEEDS 19 Thank you for the good entry, a lot of quality and the bitch line-up was full of good bitches in close contention. PD (6, 1) 1 Chapman’s Berrybreeze Quintesential. 10 mths old, beautiful puppy of quality and substance with excellent front, rear, ribbing and movement, long quality head, full of spirit and showed at all times, which won him BP. 2 Milburn-Gates’ Evingbriar Wintergreen By Liroda. 6 mths, baby of the class but a good one and is very well made, low slung and moves well, good head, his eye is a little large but he has lots of quality. 3 Young’s Stuane Archduke. JD (2) 1 Plane’s Stuane Border Reiver. 11 mths brindle, of excellent substance, legs and feet with very good quarters and moves well at both ends. All male in head which has excellent length, just needs to firm up, full of quality. 2 Lockwood’s Trimscott Ernie Wise. 11 mths, at the teenager stage in body and needs a little more substance to balance him up, good head and eye and sound rear, his topline will look better with more body. PGD (2) 1 Harrison-Brown’s Eskwyre Carlito’s Way. 2 yrs old, a very smart dog who needs a little more bone but he scored here in topline, tail set and movement. I’d prefer a little more of him all through. 2 McCracken’s Our Black Jack. 3 yrs, a better head and bone than the winner but he is a little slack in topline and tail set could be better, could have won the class if he had co-operated on the move but too many destractions in the long grass. LD (4) 1 Chapman & Bradley’s Brueik’s Super Hero By Berrybreeze. 23 mths, lovely type and excellent movement, he has a square front with good chest and very good topline and quarters, carries himself well, needs a little more body on him to finish, lovely quality. Res CC. 2 Corney’s Stonegarth Shaken Not Stirred At Rilynson. 3 yrs wheaten, very good body, where he scored over the winner but not the strength of bone or width in front, excellent quarters, clean head and good eye. 3 Wilcock & Hebditch’s Millingford King Of Hearts (Imp). OD (5, 1) 1 Kenny-Marriott, Marriott & Kirk-Gellatly’s Millingford Hudson. 2 years old, lovely substance and body and scored here on bone. I’d prefer a little more refinement in head but he is full of type, excellent movement and full of his own importance in his carriage. A good winner of the CC. 2 Mishima’s Jap Saredon Black Label ARAF. 2 yrs, of different type being more refined in head and not the strength of foreface of the winner whose front action I preferred, good rear, went well and full of spirit. 3 Rutherford’s Carisco Follow Your Dreams. SBD/B (4) 1 McCracken’s Our Black Jack. 2 Lockwood’s BLackberry Pepperberry (Imp Pol). Almost 2 yrs old, feminine with excellent clean head and compact body which needs to firm a little in topline, good coat, good quarters, winner scored in front and substance here. PB (6, 3) 1 Maidment’s Berrybreeze Quintadacious TAF. 9 mths black, feminine and full of quality, short backed, excellent topline and tail, scored in front action here. 2 Boyce’s Trakside Fawlty. 9 mths. Scored in substance and has a beautiful head, just needs a little more neck to finish her, good rear from powerful quarters, did not manage the going as well as the coming. 3 Milburn-Gates’ Raibeart Rasheenda With Liroda (Imp Rom) NAF TAF. JB (4, 1) 1 Kirk-Gellatly’s Carisco Miss Velocity. 13 mths lovely type and holds her shape on the move, which won her this class. Balanced feminine head and good eye, scored in topline and front action here and later won CC, although not as finished in body as the dog, her head had more appeal and won her BOB. 2 Kenny Marriott & Marriott’s Millingford Star Anise. 15 mths, wonderful head and expression, good eye, a little soft in topline on the move and not going as well as the winner, looks a teenager and needs time to knit together but beautiful quality. 3 Rutherford’s Carisco Careless Wispa. PGB (4) 1 Maidment’s Quaint Sabayon. 19 mths, a good winner of this class which was mixed for size and type, quality all through, combines femininity and substance and was the best mover in the class, excellent coat. 2 Willis & Willis’ Trakside Cobalion. 4 yrs old, a small bitch who was lacking a little in furnishings but she had much to like in substance, topline and a very feminine head and neat ears. 3 Lawrence’s Sweetgarret Ocean Storm. LB (8, 4) 1 Bradley & Herd’s Brueik’s Olivia Rose. 23 mths, beautifully headed bitch in excellent form and scored in tail set and topline to win this. I’d prefer her just a little shorter in couplings but full of quality and really used her quarters. Res CC. 2 Lawrence’s Sweetgarret Highland Lass. 5 yrs, more compact black in excellent coat, big ribs and good quarters, not quite as clean in cheeks as the winner in an otherwise very good head, close up here. 3 Corney’s Rilynson Aruba Arehucas. OB (4) 1 Cockayne, Cross & Cross’ US UK Beameups Mcvan’s Lady Flitter Sparkles (Imp). If only she had lived up to her name and put something into her performance. High quality. 2 yr old who is low set and compact and has a good head, would like a little more width in front action, showed typical stubborness on the move and all of her handlers efforts were unrewarded. A pity. 2 Coley’s Kingsview Just Patience. 2 yrs old, scored in ribcage and substance and she has a good head, tail set and carriage, detracts on the move but this was a close call. 3 Rutherford’s Carisco Cendal Creme.
