Scottish Terriers

My thanks to the exhibitors for their entries, unfortunately the carpet in our ring seemed to have lots of smells on which inhibited the movement of some & also some hidden noisy drain covers which spooked some.

MPD (1)

1 Harrison-Brown’s Trefaldwyn King David, immature at the moment, he has a strong masculine head, well paced ears & a dark eye. Good body, correct tailset & moved steadily. Need more ring training.

PD (2,1a)

1 Boyce’s Trakside Myths And Legends, I like his size & overall shape. Showy youngster. Nice length of head, strong muzzle. Good width in front, carrying a well made body & strongly made hindquarters. Moves out well both ways, in nice condition & nicely prepared coat.

JD (3,1)

1 Leonards’ Plenard Van Basten, lively youngster with a good length of head, would have liked it a little stronger all through. Enough neck for balance, nice body shape but could carry a little more weight. Low to ground & an active mover. Coat nicely prepared, would have liked it a slightly harsher texture. Very showy boy;

2 Tyler’s Divadell Room At The Top, brindle slightly larger than 1, pleasing head with good ear placement. Good front, carrying a good body & low to ground. Nice turn of stifle, has a good driving action when he puts his mind to it. Would prefer a firmer topline, coat of correct texture.

PGD (3,1)

1 Bradley & Herd’s Brueik I Have A Dream, nice size, good shape & in nice body. Pleasing head for length, ear placement could be better. Good neck, shoulders & topline. Lovely body with powerful hindquarters, coat not at its best today;

2 Pagram’s Torcraig Sydnificant, I really liked this boy but he would not move today, typical of the breed. Lovely boy & in super condition. Hope he gets over his stubborn behaviour for his owners sake.

LD (2)

1 Meek’s Benartybrae Macarena at Benbetham, wheaten with a super harsh coat. Pleasing head, good neck, shoulders with a decent front. Well made body, deep & muscular. Well made hindquarters, plenty of muscle & he knows how to use them. Tail well set on, nicely balanced male. Shows well;

2 Hill’s Polwicks Black Tourmaline of Tahgmor, lively boy who I have judged before. Nice length of head, good neck & shoulders. In good body condition, nice spring of rib. Moves out well & shows well.

OD (5,1)

1 Plane’s Ch Stuane King’s Sword, smart well known young male, I really appreciated his classic head, well balanced & masculine. Has the right amount of neck, good shoulders & width of front. Mature body, carrying enough condition. Well made hindquarters with a powerful driving action. I liked his overall balance, in a well prepared coat of the correct texture. Trying to be a bit independent but well handled by his owner. CC, BOB, pleased to hear he took G3;

2 Bradley & Herd’s Ch Brueik’s Bjorn, close decision with 1, just preferred the better balance of 1. This boy has a very pleasing head, good neck & topline. Correct front, in excellent body & condition. Another with powerful hindquarters which he can use well. Well prepared coat of good texture. RCC;

3 Tyzack’s Lux Ch Gaterin Let’s Rhumba.

VD (1)

1 P Black Tourmaline of T.

MPB (6,2)

1 Bradley & Herd’s Brueik In The Pink, very nice puppy who is quite mature for her age. Nice feminine head, good neck, just needs to tighten in front. Mature body, low slung body of the right proportions. Well made behind with a good tailset. In a lovely well prepared coat, fluent sound mover. Very promising;

2 Chapman, Bradley & Herd’s Brueik Tickled Pink by Berrybreeze, litter sister to 1. Very similar, she has a nice head, good in neck & shoulders. Nice spring of rib & low to ground. Just found her a little longer cast in body than her sister, well made hindquarters with a good tailset. In nice coat & condition;

3 Emmin’s Rousanne Box Of Tricks for Wesscot.

PB (4)

1 Wilde’s Blackthorpe Bryony, I really like this young lady sired by my BOB, she has a good head with length & strength but totally feminine. Nice dark eye, well placed ears, good length of neck & correct shoulder angulation. Mature body with a nice spring of rib, level topline with correct tailset. Strong hindquarters which she used effortlessly to move around the ring. In a well prepared & conditioned coat, showed all out to win BP, has a promising future;

2 B In The Pink;

3 Emmin’s Trakside Fable at Wesscott.

JB (4,1)

1 Corney’s Rilynson Aruba Arehucas, attractive brindle with a lovely head, good for length, strength whilst remaining feminine. Dark correct shaped eye, well placed ears, good neck & shoulders. Enough width in front, well made body & hindquarters, correct tailset. Plenty of drive from her hindquarters, in a good quality coat & shows well. Topline tending to be a bit bum high;

2 Hill’s Skircoat Sicilienne of Tohgmor, nice girl, good length of head but just a bit stronger than I was looking for. Nice dark eye & well placed ears. Good in front construction, has a well made body & correct tailset. Powerful hindquarters which she used well. Coat of decent quality, would suggest her owner shortened some of it to enhance her shape;

3 Ford’s Dojanfors Immaculator.

PGB (6,1)

1 Pagram’s Torcraig Sea Pearl, what a smart young lady, pleased to award her first CC. Took my eye as soon as she came into the ring. Attractive & showy all the time, has a very nice head with a constant alert expression. Neck of good length, level topline which she kept on the move. Good in front construction, cobby body with well made hindquarters that she used well moving with fluent ease. In lovely well conditioned coat, a real show girl;

2 Meek’s Benartybrae Love In A Mist at Benbetham, a nice type of bitch, pleasing head with well placed ears. Nicely balanced outline, good front & body, well made hindquarters. Good tailset & in pleasing coat. Not the showmanship of 1;

3 S Sicilienne of T.

LB (6,4)

1 Chapman’s Berrybreeze Born To Boogie, really nice in head & expression, good length of neck that blended into her level topline. Good front, well made body though I would like shorter coupling. Well muscled hindquarters which gave the necessary driving action. In a lovely quality coat that was nicely presented, another one who shows herself off to her advantage;

2 Ford’s Magandthan Black Beauty at Bojanfor, nice head & expression. Good overall shape, carrying a well made body & moved well. Not in the same coat or condition of 1.

OB (5,1)

1 Baranchikova’s Int Ch Skailains I My Me, very nice girl who has a pleasing head that has good length, strength of muzzle, correct eye & well placed ears. Good neck, shoulders & front, cobby well made body, level topline. Has plenty of strength in her hindquarters but is rather exuberant on the move. Nicely presented coat of good texture, showed all the time. RCC;

2 Mahmoudi’s Ch/Swed Ch Brio Inquizitive, I liked this girl very much, she was a picture standing but not quite so active on the move. She has a beautiful head, good length, nice dark eye & well placed ears. Lovely balanced outline, good front with a mature body & level topline. In first class coat & presentation, showed steadily;

3 Maidment’s Berrybreeze Explorer at Daxidin.

VB (2,1)

1 Ch/Swed Ch B Inquizitive.
