SCOTTISH DRIFFIELD 22 Judge: Stuart Plane SCOTTISH JUDGE DRIFFIELD 22 My thanks to the committee for the invitation and to the exhibitors for such a good entry VD (1) 1 Wilcock & Hebditch’s Millingford King Of Hearts Re (Imp). A brindle dog of good type and size, shows a good outline, balanced head, good eye giving a pleasing expression, well placed shoulders deep well ribbed body, nice coat texture, bit reluctant on the move. 1 Ashworth Russalan Crimson Coburn. A smart black dog of quality, clean balanced head, well shaped eye, enough neck into a pleasing front with a brisket, short deep body, good topline well set tail in very tight coat of good texture, shows well. 2 Norton Divadell’s Charging Bear. Another promising dog with a longer head than the winner, good eye which is well set, enough bone, level topline and uses his tail well, short in loin but could carry more weight to advantage, lovely coat texture 3 McNiven Frazandmitch Top Of The Game 1 Russalan Crimson Coburn. 2 Frazandmitch Top Of The Game. Quite a nice dog of pleasing type long clean head good eye deep body, I feel would suit less coat. 3 Allsopp’s Magic Murry 1 Chapman & Lidgett Berrybreeze Magical Spirit. Headed this closely contested class, this dog is good to handle as all seems to fit well together, balanced head, dark eye uses his ears well, good over the neck and shoulder, has a brisket, short well ribbed body and a free easy mover, in good coat 2 Tyler & Chapman Berrybreeze Spirit Master. I see this dog is a litter brother to the winner and so similar so therefore most of the above remarks apply. However he would not co-operate with his handler who tried hard but did not give of his best on the move. 3 Allsopp’s Magic Murry 1 Skudder, Honeypaws Sweet Talking Guy. On first impressions this dog comes across as very heavy and thick set but on handling a different tale is told. Long head which is balanced, good eye and expression, correct mouth, very good in front deep rib and short coupled well set tail OD (5) 1 Coley’s Kingsview Just Jordan. This class reminded me of the competition in Open classes in days gone by. Two Champions plus three CC winners so provided much competition and required great thought. The winner is a well constructed dog of good type. He has a balanced head with a dark eye, correct mouth, muscular neck into well placed shoulders true front which is well boned, good rib and topline, uses his tail well. On the move he shows a good stride and maintains his outline, CC and BOB. Pleased to hear he was placed in the group. 2 Kelly’s Ch Carseview Mr Goodfella. The smart brindle did not make it easy for the winner, long head, dark eye, strong muzzle, pleasing over the neck and shoulder, enough bone and rib, level topline and uses his tail to advantage, free moving and was at one with his handler. RCC 3 Rutherford Ch Carisco Follow Your Dreams 1 Magic Murry. A long headed dog who needs to carry more substance throughout, easy mover 1 Willis’ Trakside Cobalion. Sweet bitch of good type, neat head dark eye decent front with a well ribbed body short loin, not giving of her best on the move 1 Beckton’s Innuendo Deus Vult Bohemia La-Da by Glengracie. A wheaten of lovely clear colour, clean balanced head, dark eye and good nose pigment, well constructed front of enough width, short well ribbed body and good tail set, Still needs time to show off her virtues but awarded Best Puppy today 2 Skudder & Caley’s Lucky Star’s Boom Shake The Room (Imp Ger). Certainly moves with style but not as well balanced as the winner, long clean head, but not as mature in body as the winner 1 Barton-Smith Russalan Rosenda Rose. This bitch is good to go over and is of the correct type, sweet head and well shaped eye, strong neck into a well constructed front. However she lets herself down on the move as she loses her outline which is a pity. 1 Webster’s Glengracie Miss Mercury Of Pepilarue A wheaten of size and substance, clean head, muscular neck into a true front deep mature body, keeps her outline on the move, well textured coat. 2 Barton-Smith Russalan Rosenda Rose 1 Kirk-Gellatly Whitwitch Fire Starter. A smart well balanced bitch of good type, presents a pleasing picture on the move, neat well balanced head, short well ribbed body and good tail set, free mover 2 Mackay & Kirk-Gellatly Whitwitch No Mercy. Another well balanced bitch with a long clean head, good over the neck and shoulder, ribs go well back and her topline is level but on the move she was difficult and lost her outline, a pity. 3 Willis & Rutherford Carisco Equinox 1 Kenny Marriott, & Marriott, Millingford Rosetta. A well constructed bitch of excellent type. Clean head, neat ear, dark eyes well set, muscular neck, short deep body, enough bone and good tail set, rear angulation matched her front angulation, moves well and true, keeping her outline, lovely coat texture Pleased to award her the third CC 2 Maidment Berrybreeze Quintadacious For Spinakers. Another well constructed bitch of excellent type, vey well presented and pressed the winner hard. Level topline and well set tail, moves enthusiastically. Balanced head and well placed ears. 3 Kelly’s Carseview Storm In a Teacup 1 Kelly’s Carseview Gangsters Moll. An impressive bitch, well balance and of good type, well proportioned head, dark eye correct mouth true front, had the most level topline and muscular quarters, just pipped the second in Limit to win RCC 2 Kirk-Gellatly Millingford Stargazer A free standing bitch of good type, great expression and neat ears, true enough in front, in super coat and condition, strong quarters. Moves freely. 3 Maidment Quaint Sabayon (Fin Imp) |
