SCOTTISH DRIFFIELD 11 Judge: Mr R N Becquet SCOTTISH JUDGE DRIFFIELD 11 Scottish Terriers My first time judging at this level. A good entry. In general the quality was quite good however I do feel heads need to be watch as too many were bumpy, unbalanced or thick, some were almost weak in underjaw with consequent cramping of teeth. On the plus side fronts & movement were good. MPD (0). PD (3) 1 Coley's Kingsview Just Stewart, short deep brindle pup with good head, tight bite, well placed ears, good length of neck into correct shoulder, deep & wide front, good bone, well made rib, short loin, good quarters, well let down, tail on top, moved OK given the uneven ground. Well presented. BPD; 2 Earl's Rolanka Bucks Fizz, slightly longer type & currently not so well slung but was presented & moved well; 3 Montgomery & Boyce's Trakside French Connection. JD (0). YD (1) A. PGD (1) 1 Rutherford's Carisco My Leading Man, balanced black with OK head, dark eye, ears well carried, good neck & shoulders, deep wide front, good bone, well made, low slung body, strong short loin, good quarters, went well both ways. LD (5) 1 Chapman's Berrybrearsbreeze Dizzee Rascal, super head clean & well balanced, dark eye, good bite, well carried neat ears, correct neck into well laid shoulders, deep front with good bone, low slung body with big rib, strong loin, good quarters, moved well both ways, very well presented as were all from this exhibitor. In the challenge just flagged a little due possibly to the heat. RCC; 2 Eteo's Glenmiar Whisky Mac at Jancliff, similar marks apply, nice type, just not as good in head. Moved quite well both ways, typy, well presented & handled; 3 Lawrence's Sweetgarret My Wee Geordie. OD (4) 1 Dixon's Chatterdale Diablo, judged him before, liked him then & like him now! Short deep black dog, strong balanced head, dark eye, tight bite, well carried ears, nice length of neck, good shoulders, deep square front, good bone, super slung body with good rib, strong loin, strong quarters, very well presented & handled. Despite the heat never stopped showing, moved very well both ways. CC, which I believe makes him up; 2 Tovey's Ch Trakside Flying Scotsman at Charmic, another well made Scot, good head, just not as good in front as 1. Good quarters, well presented, went well both ways; 3 Goddard's Emandem Black Pudding. GCD (1) 1 G Whisky Mac at J. MPB (1) 1 Palmer's Sparticans Charisma, black of nice type, typical head of correct proportions, well carried ears, moderate neck, OK shoulders, deep well filled front for age, low to ground, ribs well carried, good loin for age, went well, well handled. BP; 2 Chapman's Berrybreeze Glad All Over, little to seperate these two, similar remarks apply.
