SCOTTISH DARLINGTON 14 Judge: Mr D G L Winsley BEST OF BREED : 1330 CHAPMAN Miss C L Berrybreeze Glad All Over SCOTTISH JUDGE DARLINGTON 14 Scottish Terriers VD (1) A. MPD & PD (0). JD (2) 1 Dixon’s Millingford Royal Eclipse at Chatterdale, nice young black male with a good length of head with well placed ears. Good neck & shoulders, deep chest & low slung. Short in back with a level topline. Good ribbing & enough coupling. In good coat & presentation, moved with a good driving action; 2 Walker’s Beaureveur Perseus, wheaten, nice head but could be a shade longer for better balance. Well placed ears & correct eye colour & shape. Nice neck & shoulders, nice body & tailset. Needs more width behind, showed well. Needs time. PGD (3) 1 Meek’s Benatybrae Macarena at Benbetham, wheaten with a good length of head, correct eye & ear. Good length of neck, well angulated shoulders & level topline. Good forechest with depth & well sprung ribs. Low slung body, well balanced shape. In a quality coat, tailset correct & moved well behind; 2 Hill’s Polwick Black Tourmaline of Tahgmor, good head with a dark eye. Nice outline & shape, moves out well. Has a nice body, though carrying a little too much weight. Presentation could be improved; 3 Salmon’s Butter Me Scotch Frazer. LD (3) 1 Beckton’s Glengracie Formula One, wheaten with a nicely balanced shape. He has a good length of head with a nice stop, clean cheeks, dark well shaped eye & correct earset. Good in neck & shoulders, could have a straighter front. Deep in chest, low slung body of the correct length. Muscular & powerful hindquarters which he knows how to use. Tail in the correct place, in good quality coat & shows himself off; 2 Crawshaw’s Trakside Wellington at Levenkirk, another quality black, lovely long head with clean skull, dark eye & good ear placement. Nice neck & shoulders, level back. Just a shade longer than 1, tail bang on top. In very nice coat & presentation, moved & showed well; 3 Hill’s Polwick Black Tourmaline of Tahgmor. OD (5,1) 1 Rutherford’s Carisco Midas Touch, masculine wheaten, quite an upstanding boy. Good length of head, well filled foreface, well placed ears & dark eye. Muscular neck, well angulated shoulders, level back. Balanced outline, well made body & low to ground. Plenty of strength in his hindquarters which he uses very well. Tailset on well & in a well prepared coat of the correct texture. Showed himself off to win the CC; 2 Bradley & Herd’s Brueik’s Bjorn, this black boy was certainly playing his owner up. He is not a big male but still very masculine, he has a classic type of head of good length & width. Well arched neck & level back. Nicely balanced body & outline. In excellent coat & presentation. He just would not get into his stride when moving. RCC; 3 Earl’s Rolanka Bucks Fizz. VB (0). MPB (1 ) 1 Walker’s Beaureveur Cassia, brindle who stood alone but has quality. Head of good length & has time to improve. Nicely placed ears & nice eye for colour & shape. Good reach of neck, well made shoulders. Deep well ribbed body, needs to watch her weight, strong backend & correct tailset. Moved out well & showed all out. BP. JB (2) 1 Young’s Stuane Curtana, black girl of obvious quality. Looks very youthful in her appearance. Happy outgoing temperament. Good length of head, clean all through. Good neck & shoulders, good forechest. Nice front, good body for her age, well made hindquarters. Showed & moved well, in good coat & presentation; 2 Boyce’s Trakside Fairy Queen, another with a lovely length of head, no weakness here. Ears well placed, good length of neck & correct shoulders. Short backed, well ribbed body but would like her to carry a little less weight. Moves & shows well, in nice coat & condition. PGB (4,2) 1 Kelly’s Carseview Hurricane Hannah, feminine brindle with a pleasing type of head. Good length of neck & nicely made shoulders. Good body, level topline & tailset well on. Strong hindquarters which she can use. Nice coat, showed well; 2 Meek’s Benartybrae Love In A Mist at Benbetham, black girl of a nice size & shape. Nice length of head with well placed ears. Dark well placed eye. Good body, correct tailset. Moved & showed well. LB (3) 1 Rowland & Rees Dotty’s Little Girl at Rabbonia, black girl of a nice size & balanced shape. Good length of head, well placed ears & dark well shaped eye. Good length & strength in neck, nice angulated shoulders. Well made balanced body, low slung with enough coupling to allow flexibility. Strongly made hindquarters with width which she uses well. Tailset on well, she has a nice quality coat which is presented well. Showed all out to win the RCC; 2 Kelly’s Carseview Queen Of The Mey, black of a nice size, she is slightly longer cast than 1. Quite a nice head, good neck & body. Coat not the quality of 1. Moves well & showed well; 3 Walker’s Benartybrae Salsa avec Beaureveur. OB (5,1) 1 Chapman’s Berrybreeze Glad All Over, black with a simply lovely head. Nice length, feminine without being weak. Well placed ears, nice dark eye. Good length of neck, level back. Nice in front & well developed body with the correct amount of substance, also has the desired flexibility. Wide behind & moves with lots of strength & drive. Showed well & had a well prepared coat of the correct texture. Pleased to award her her 3rd CC & BOB; 2 Kenny’s Ch Willingford Cloudberry, well known champion, has plenty to like about her. She too has a very nice classic head, overall she is quite short backed. Well made body with plenty of substance. Strongly made hindquarters & plenty of width there. Tailset on well & moved well.
