SCOTTISH JUDGE CRUFTS 10

Scottish Terriers
I would like to thank the exhibitors for the super entry & my two excellent stewards. I was disappointed to find many dogs with the incorrect Scottie head. Also some dogs with poor movement.

VD (4,2a)

1 Syke’s The Bright Star Eyed Boy, 7½ years brindle, good head & expression, level topline, moved well;

2 Minshall’s Cairnsden Black Jack, 7 years black, nice head, level topline, moved well. Not happy on the table.

PD (3)

1 Bradley & Herd’s Brueik Magnum Opus, very handsome dog, lovely head & expression, good neck & shoulder placement, short coupled. Needs to settle in hind movement. One to watch;

2 Tovey’s Trakside Flying Scotsman at Charmic, well balanced, short coupled. Needs to mature on & needs more ring presence;

3 Thomas’ Geomeg Edison.

JD (5,2)

1 Bogdan’s Ice and Fire vom Rahmbruch, black, quality head, nice reach of neck, well laid shoulders, good spring of rib, moved well;

2 Le Pelletier’s Danald Duck Della Roccacia di Modigliana, pleasing head, good bone, good shoulder placement, nice depth of brisket, good coat & condition;

3 Walker’s Beaureveur Kubera.

PGD (13,3)

1 Hovagimyan’s Tamzin Mr Prospector, well put together, excellent head, good stop, well laid shoulders, level topline, moved with drive;

2 Chick’s Brueiks Magical Connection, black, good type, nice head & expression, showed well;

3 Walker’s Beaureveur Magnifique.

LD (13)

1 Goddard’s Emandem Black Pudding, I liked this dog, correct head & expression, correct front, well laid shoulders & level topline. Could move with a bit more flair to show off his qualities;

2 Rutherlford’s Carisco I’m Your Man, good type, pleasing head, correct mouth, well laid shoulders, good front assembly, short coupled;

3 Cardy’s Blackthorpe Jet Ranger of Brettvale.

OD (10)

1 Popova’s Ch Rus/Slo/Eur Filicite Brash Celebration, I liked this young black very much, gorgeous head & expression, pleasing neck & shoulders, correct front, correct depth of chest, level topline & correct tailset, super coat & condition, best mover, a treat to watch. CC, BOB, G1 & RBIS;

2 Earl’s Turnaware Buccaneer, quality brindle, lovely head & expression, nice reach of neck, level back, good bone & substance, good coat, in prime condition, showed & moved well. RCC;

3 Kenny’s Ch Millingford Northern Rock, quality black, excellent head & expression, correct front, good laid back shoulders, good depth of brisket, good coat, nice outline, showed well.

VB (2,1)

1 Maidment’s Bruiek Euphoria, 9 years black, enjoying her day, feminine head, lovely eye, clean neck & shoulders, showed well.

PB (5,1)

1 Baker’s Glenheath Grazie, brindle, very well constructed, clean feminine head, small ears, good neck & shoulders, level topline, tail bang on top, good coat & condition. Needs to mature. Moved around the ring like a veteran. BP:

2 Hardy’s Trakside Springtime of Magandthan, nice youngster, similar in type to 1, slightly younger. Moved & showed well;

3 Milburn-Gates’ Liroda Earth Angel.

JB (6)

1 Dixon’s Barnwin Morning Bliss at Chatterdale, black, mature youngster of good size, lovely head, nice neck & shoulders, level topline, nice outline, showed well, promising;

2 Boyce’s Trakside Tiffin, brindle, nice bitch, small ears, good scissor bite, dark eye, good neck & shoulders, elbows well tucked in, level topline. Just preferred head of 1. Showed well;

PGB (12,5)

1 Long’s Elfricia Black Number, black, lovely bitch, carrying a bit too much weight. Excellent head, nice neck & shoulders, good bone, good front, nice depth of chest, level topline. Could have moved with a bit more spark, nevertheless a lovely bitch;

OB (10,2)

What a class to judge, so many lovely bitches.

1 Frokjur & Steffensen’s Dan Ch Ayrzol Ozone, black, a little bit special to say the least, elegant in outline, lovely head & expression, correct bite, small ears, straight front, level topline, good depth of chest, could move with drive when she felt like it, nevertheless a lovely bitch. CC;

2 Miller’s Ch Brio Exquizite, lovely bitch, lovely head & expression, dark eye, small ears, good neck & shoulders, elbows well tucked in, good spring of rib. Reminds me of her mother Rose Maiden who I awarded CC & BIS at the club show. Showed well. RCC;

3 Beckton’s Kentwella Karamel by Glengracie, I am not a great lover of wheatens but I do like her colour & quality. Has a better outline now than she did as a youngster, lovely head & expression, great bone & substance, good level topline & tailset, good wire coat, showed well. I am sure she will gain her title.

GCB (1)

1 Sykes’ Benartybrae Wish Upon A Star, typy bitch, in good coat & condition, well balanced overall, nice head, dark eye, showed well.
