Lovely atmosphere around the ringside on this very hot day. All dogs performed admirably, there were no poor bites and all were presented very well and were of a good disposition.
Class 141 SBD/B (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 292 GREENWOOD, Mrs M J & GREENWOOD, Mr P PETMON ROYAL RUFFIAN. 10 mth, impressive male youngster. He presented a balanced shape, and is of a good size, with ample bone and substance. Lovely head, clean to go over, with a dark eye, large dentition and correct ears. Clean through neck and well placed shoulders. Well ribbed, deep, level topline, and a strong rear, with decent tailset. He covered the ground with style on the move. BSB & RBD. Was pleased to see him later win the special beginners group.
2nd: 296 NIXON, Mrs Karen Tout Nouveau Tout Beau du Clan des Petits Colonels. Brindle Dog who was fairly short and compact. A fuller coat and presentation would complete the picture. Pleasing through head, body maturing, decent ribbing and ample bone. Moved well when settled.
Class 142 PD/B (5 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 293 GREENWOOD, Mrs M J & GREENWOOD, Mr P PETMON ROYAL GIFT. Another lovely youngster and litter sister to SBD winner. She presented a wonderful silhouette, compact and typey. Tyical through quality, clean long head, dark eye and neatly set ears. Clean through a nice reach of neck, leading into well placed shoulders and a tidy front assembly. Well ribbed, good toplie and smart tailset, which she maintained on the move. Already at this age has a powerful rear, which she used to advantage powering around the ring. A lovely coarse black, well presented jacket completed the picture. BP & RBB. Later was awarded 3rd in puppy group.

1st: 294 KNIGHT AND POOLTON, Miss and Mr Sally and John Russalan Martha Rosa. Tidy, smart, balanced, lovely bodied bitch, who was good to go over. Decent rib, chest and couplings. Lovely rear and crisp jacket.
2nd: 289 TAYLOR, Miss Patricia Apollo sb Scottie's vegas of pamaswater (imp akc). Decent headed dog, ok in neck, longer cast than 1. A crisp jacket, but not the furnishings, that would have completed the picture.
Class 144 PGD/B (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 286 CHICK, Mrs J A & BRADLEY, Miss E J BRUEIK THE ACE IN THE PACK. What a cracking genuine dog, balanced, substance and nothing exaggerated. Strong typical head, clean powerful neck, well placed front, with width. Well ribbed, low slung, strong loin. Smart topline and tailset with plenty of buttock behind. Moved well, smoothly and straight all ways, maintaining his topline. A crisp jacket finished the picture. BD & BOB.

Class 145 OD/B (5 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 285 BROOME, Miss ALISON Liroda Midnight Kiss At Evingbriar. A nice balanced bitch, who gave a correct picture. She is rather strong and top-size, but has a good head and clean neck. Good depth to her body, clean top-line, strong in rear, with plenty behind the tail. A coarse jacket finished the picture. She moved very well. Put down and presented in tip top condition. Handled to perfection, which got the most out of her. BB.
2nd: 291 GREENWOOD, Mrs M J & GREENWOOD, Mr P CARISCO RETURN AMBER TO PETMON. A size down on the winner and not the overall balance. A typical head with correct ear placement & carriage. Strong jaw and bite. Strong neck into well laid shoulders. Little Rangier to 1. Well presented and moved OK.
