SCOTTISH JUDGE BLACKPOOL 10

Scottish Terriers

May I take this opportunity to thank Steve Hall & his team for such the well run & detail to planning at this prestigious show. Many thanks also to the exhibitors who created such a good atmosphere around the Scottie ring.

V (0).

PD (1)

1 Rutherford’s Carisco My Leading Man, 6 months black, very raw youngster, needs time to settle. Nice pup to go over, sharp outlook & excellent temperament, good bone. Needs a new jacket.

JD (1)

1 Annan’s Lomandview JackFlash, brindle, short back & low to ground, good head & expression, good hindquarters & fair front assembly, moved well, harsh coat.

PGD (2)

1 Hill’s Bonnieanne Norman of Tahgmoor, black, excellent body properties, superb bone, low to ground & lovely wide front, neat dark eye & quizzical expression, not putting his all into movement. Needs to lose a few pounds & coat not in good condition.

LD (4)

1 Goddard’s Emandem Black Pudding, this is a dog I feel will eventually enter the upper house, he is a good all round male with excellent bone, deep ribs & good front assembly, he moved soundly with confidence & his presentation was first class;

2 Rutherford’s Carisco I’m Your Man, black, nice male, well presented, good bone, deep body, very masculine, good head & ear carriage, keen eye. Lost out to 1 on front assembly, nevertheless one to watch;

3 Killisport’s McNaught at Soarvale.

OD (5,1a)

1 Earl’s Turnaware Buccaneer, 5 years brindle, up to size, but what a super dog to go over, excellent bone, deep ribs, wide straight front & good layback of shoulder, in tip-top order & well handled by his owner, it was a privilege to judge this dog who I consider a proper Scottie, pleased to award him the CC & BOB. I understand this is his third CC;

2 Kenny’s Ch Millingford Northern Rock, black, well known ch & well worthy of his title, low to ground with solid bone & wide front, good head & expression. Was not moving as I know he can, perhaps the heat of the day, taking this into consideration I was pleased to award him the RCC;

3 Smith’s Killisport McNaught at Soarvale.

PB (1)

1 Maidment’s Berrybreeze Explorer, quality black, 10 months, this puppy I am sure has an exciting future, well put together, short back, good assembly, nice deep ribs for one so young, moved soundly & with confidence. BP.

JB (3)

1 Baker’s Glenheath Grazia, black, in pristine condition, short backed, compact bitch with lovely outline & firm topline, good movement, nice front assembly & demonstrating strong rear movement, another to watch with interest;

2 Annan’s Lomandview Jaffa, litter sister to 1 of JD, brindle, well put together, good body properties, moved with drive, nice head & keen eye, coat condition fair. Preferred front assembly of 1;

3 Tyzack’s Gaterine Over Exposed.

PGB (3,1)

1 Kenny’s Millingford Royal Affair, black, well put together with pleasing head & varminty expression, her movement was good & very sound, low to ground, good bone, handled well by owner who always gets the best out of her charges;

2 Barnett’s Barnwin The Black Witch, black, excels in bone & body, needs a new coat & is lacking in front assembly. Needs to settle down when being shown.

LB (2)

1 Dixon’s Barnwin Morning Bliss at Chatterdale, lovely bitch to go over & should have an interesting future, good body properties, good outline which she holds in movement, short firm back, nice head & expression, uses her ears well;

2 Baker’s Glenheath Chit Chat, black, lovely bitch, a tad longer in back than 1. Good body assembly, good head & keen eye, low to ground & good bone. Unfortunately she was not in tune with the handler on the day therefore lost out to 1.

OB (4,1)

1 Beckton’s Kentwella Karamel at Glengracie, wheaten, lovely colour & in fine form, superbly knit together, perfectly excellent with lovely wide straight front & terrific bone, ribs laid well back & low to ground, correct feet, movement was first class. CC, her third;

2 Annan’s Lomandvjew Yours Truly, black, in top form as always from this kennel, a rather compact bitch, very feminine & gassy, neat head with nice eye, ears firm, well muscled quarters. A little tight in front overall. RCC;

3 Tyzack’s Int Ch/Bel Scotline Ginger Snap for Gaterine.
