SCOTTISH BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 15 Judge: Mr Barry Day BEST OF BREED : 7593 PLANE Mr S Ch Stuane King's Sword SCOTTISH JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 15 Scottish Terriers PD (2) 1 Kirk’s Whitwitch Mustard, typy wheaten with a masculine head & acceptable ears. Good, deep body with a pleasing forechest & good bone. Nicely developed quarters & good feet. Presented in a good jacket, he moved OK; 2 McKay’s Divadell Roll With It. pleasing head but I would have preferred better set ears. Good for body & bone, with a good topline & well-muscled quarters. Good coat texture & he moved OK. JD (2) 1 Pagram’s Torcraig Golden Chance, wheaten, good for type & a nice long head with neat ears. Nice flow of neck into a good topline. Pleasing body & bone with good quarters. Presented in a good jacket, he moved soundly; 2 Beckton’s Glengracie Galileo, a brindle who made a lovely typy outline. With a pleasing head & ear. Nice flow of neck into a good topline, correct set-on & good tail. In a good jacket & moved OK. Not quite the breadth of chest & quarters of 1. PGD (4,1a) 1 Annan’s Lomondview Man-In-Black, good for size & type although presentation didn’t help his outline. Good head & eye with neat ears, nicely balanced body of good depth & with well-developed quarters. Good textured jacket, he moved well; 2 Pagram’s Torcraig Sydnificant, typy dog of good size with a pleasing head & expression. Good flow of neck into his topline, lovely well coupled body but I would have preferred his tailset a shade higher. Good coat texture, he moved OK. Not quite the forehand or body depth of 1; 3 Greenwood’s Petmon Royal Magician. LD (4) 1 Hill’s Samstevevar Gold Amulet, enough of him but making an impressive, typy outline & good to go over. Long, clean head with a good eye. Well-constructed forehand with good bone. Pleasing neckline & topline, good deep body with well-developed quarters & reasonable angulation. He moved well; 2 Earl’s Eskwyre Tom Foolery at Rolanka, typy brindle, perhaps a shade heavy in head, good body depth & with a pleasing neckline & topline. Presented in a good jacket, he moved OK; 3 Dixon’s Millingford Royal Eclipse at Chatterdale. OD (5,2) 1 Plane’s Ch Stuane King’s Sword, a lovely compact, nicely balanced dog & an ideal size for going to ground. Pleasing head & expression with neat ears. Good forehand & super, well ribbed, body with good bone. Lovely flow of neck into a good topline & set-on. With well-developed quarters & well let down hocks, he moved soundly. Well presented in a good jacket, he made a very impressive outline. CC & BOB; 2 Baranchikova’s Int Ch Scotline Star Man, quality dog with a long clean head & neat ears. Another with a lovely flow of neck into a good topline. Good quarters & enough angulation, he moved well. In a good jacket but not quite the front of body depth of 1. RCC; 3 P Royal Magician. VD (2) 1 Greenwood’s Petmon Light Of My Life, typy black with a long, clean head, nice eye & neat ears. Good, deep, well coupled body with good bone. Good topline & set on & with pleasing quarters he moved well. I would have preferred a better coat texture; 2 Hill’s Polwicks Black Touramaline of Tahgmor, a 9 year old with a masculine head, pleasing neckline & topline & well developed quarters. Presented in a good jacket, he moved & showed well for his age. PB (2) 1 Coley’s KIngsview Just Freya, a typy black baby in a very good jacket. Pleasing head & expression with neat ears. Good forehand, pleasing body with a good neckline & topline. Very well developed quarters for her age, pleasing angulation & good feet. She moved & showed well; 2 Kirk’s Whitwitch Quince, good for type, with a feminine head, lovely deep body, good topline & set-on. Not quite the head, angulation or coat of 1. JB (3,1) 1 Barachikova’s Skailain’s Persons Sacrosancta, a promising baby with a good head & expression & with neat ears. Well put together front, deep, well coupled body with a lovely flow of neck into a good topline & nicely angulated rear. Presented in a good coat, she moved well. Giving a bit away in maturity in this class but I liked her very much. BP; 2 Pagram’s Torcraig Sea Pearl, impressive youngster, making a lovely, typy outline. Lovely deep, well coupled body. Pleasing topline, well developed quarters & nicely presented in a good jacket. She moved well behind but not so good in front. Not the head or front construction of 1. PGB (1) 1 Norton’s Samstevever Rainbows End to Divadell, typy wheaten with an acceptable head, good bone & a pleasing neckline & topline. Super quarters & in a good jacket, she moved well behind but a little loose in front. LB (4,2) 1 Rowland & Ress’ Dottys Little Girl at Rabbonai, good for size & type with a lovely feminine head. Well-constructed forehand, very good deep & well coupled body, firm topline & good set-on. Well-developed quarters, giving plenty behind her tail & presented in a good jacket. She moved well. I liked her very much but she didn’t quite match the CC winner for rear angulation & so RCC today; 2 S Rainbows End to D. OB (8,3) 1 Krizova’s Gemma Stonehenge Remuage, a lovely compact, balanced bitch of good type. Good head & expression, deep, well ribbed body & with pleasing bone. Lovely flow of neck into a good topline. Well-developed quarters & decent rear angulation. Presented in a good jacket, she showed & moved well, making a beautiful picture on the move in profile. CC; 2 Baranchikova’s Int Ch Skailain’s I My Me, a black bitch with a pleasing head & expression & neat ears. Good neckline & topline with pleasing rear angulation. Presented in a good jacket, she moved OK; 3 Plane’s Ch Stuane Sword Dancer. VB (1) 1 Greenwood’s Petmon Miss Tiggywinkle, typy bitch in good bloom. Good long, clean head with a pleasing expression. Good for body & bone & with well-muscled quarters. Presented in a jacket of good texture, she showed & moved well. BARRY DAY |
