PARSON JACK RUSSELL JUDGE WELSH KC 11

Parson Russell Terriers

PD (3

) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Prymeval, 7½ months, good eye, dark & expressive, strength in muzzle, well bodied, firm back, strong supple loin. Could have a touch more return of upper arm. Harsh coat, satisfying muscle tone;

2 Newport’s Digaden Playing Away, loved this young man’s head & dark well shaped eye, small ear carried close to head. Pleasing balance, just not quite the finish of 1. Both have confidence & attractive side action.

JD (2)

1 Newport’s Digaden Playing The Field, 10 months smart sound economical moving chap, flat skull with width to balance head, dark well fitting eye, muzzle has room to contain big white well positioned teeth, has bone & legs that give correct balance to depth of rib, pleasing outline, goes well from every angle;

2 Hooley’s Hoolmark Sundance Kid, alert with terrier attitude, in excellent harsh coat & correct body. Tail just a touch low set. Little erratic coming but young & time to alter.

PGD (3)

1 Broadberry & Broadberry’s Ratscallion Tactical Move, grand sort displaying quality, skull flat of balanced width, clean cheeks, strength in foreface all helping with expression, straight well boned front & good padding in foot, shoulder clean with angulation to afford easy reach, strong supple body, good jacket, true stylish mover;

2 Griffiths’ Digaden Windrush Chase, decent head & eye, super personality, real terrier. Not just the front of 1 standing or moving. Firm backline, well handled to promote his attributes;

3 Bigland’s Heythrop Tailwind.

LD (6)

1 Tagg’s Rymshott Tac Tic, stood out here, alert, animated a real terrier all through quality, typical head, clean strong neck flowing smoothly through really good forehand with no hint of Fox terrier, good ribs that span, supple muscled loin, well set tail, width to bum & plenty behind tail, excellent muscle definition, harsh coat & supple skin, really true & sound in action. CC;

2 Johnson’s Garsayno Magic Man, this is just such a better dog to go over than appears to be when stacked, cracking head, in first class order both body & muscle development, shows his sound make & shape on the move;

3 Newport & Baker’s Ratscallion Tactical Play.

OD (5)

1 Swift & Parr Spellbert Captain Jack, a good class. Each had attributes making them a pleasure to judge. This chap just had it all together to win. Balance & masculinity from head, through grand forehand, firm body to developed quarters, agile & positive when he goes. RCC;

2 Tagg’s Rymshott Strider, did not always concentrate & had to pay the price. However, has type & balance in abundance, really coming into his own on the move which gave him his place here;

3 Hooley’s Ch Hoolmark Johnny Ringo.

PB (8)

1 Baker’s Pacolito Milarki, notice she is out of BOB & has the type, shape & balance of her mother which no doubt clinched her BP. Most correct feminine head, ear shape & use which display her terrier confidence, good front, depth & rib development, yet as expected spans easily, balanced height of leg to withers & length to root of well set tail, very positive fluid gait;

2 Newport’s Digaden Playing Truent, again has type, balance & personality, head, neck & forehand balanced & typical, firm back, goes with easy activity. Both supple skin & harsh quality coats;

3 Bowden’s Pacolito Price To Pay at Chellowside.

JB (6)

1 Steel’s Kingpar Callista, just such a terrier, very feminine head & has power in jaw containing big teeth correctly placed, good ribbing, plenty behind tail, performs to advantage as her soundness & personality would suggest, really good skin & coat;

2 Swift & Parr’s Spellbert Captain Alvilda, really clean & typical in outline, plenty of substance & bone, good head profile, performs to promote her positives;

3 Walls’ Pacolito Scandelous.

PGB (3)

1 Baker’s Pacolito Persistant, have written ‘I love her’ & obviously first impressions counted for me. A delight to judge, satisfys in all departments. Under her supple skin topped by excellent coat, she is fit hard with fabulous thigh, good angulation & low hocks which give power & impulsion behind on the move, her forehand complements this so she has reach & activity with personality that never let up which gave her the CC & BOB in very good company;

2 Smith’s Bethane Liberton Lassie, better to go over than she gives the impression of standing. Her balance throughout is reflected in her smart lively action on the move, good legs & well padded feet;

3 Bigland’s Heythrop Tandy.

LB (8)

Super class & really performance counted here so close were the placings.

1 Roberts & Todd’s Chataway Careless. RCC;

2 Tagg’s Hoolmark Tidy. These 2 quality Parsons fought a battle to the post. Both fit with firm body, full of type & personality, each were in excellent jackets, feminine with substance to keep them going all day. 1 just had the edge in front action to take the class & RCC;

3 Walker’s Ammanday Apple.

OB (6)

Real quality class.

1 Sutton’s Ch Pacolito Maid A Phortune at Springbeck, well this affix seemed to feature in the winners today, who ever the owner or handler, well done to the breeders. Quality typy bitch in super condition, her construction & balance is evident in her true easy lively gait, loved her head, flowing lines, good legs & well padded feet, just a lovely Parson from any angle. I understand was my BP last time I judged the breed, still think highly of her;

2 Swift & Parr’s Ch Pacolito X Rated, just not as good in upper arm as 1 but sound, fit & expertly presented. She too moved with economical positive stride although not the length of stride of 1;

3 Baker’s Pacolito Persuit.
