PARSON RUSSELL WELKS 10 Judge(s) MR PATRICK DOONER DCC ALNCROFT BLACKTHORN (MESDAMES K A & M L SMITH & MOON) Parson Russell Terriers Thank you to the committee & the exhibitors for a lovely day, there were no absentees on the day. In general the quality of the dogs was very good, only a few that were oversize & a few with poor coats & only one that could not be spanned. In general all mouths were good & it was nice to see, especially in the younger classes the size coming down & overall quality & substance improving. MPD (5) 1 Johnson’s Garsayno Magic Man, lovely head & ear placement, good lay of shoulder, good harsh coat, good bone for size, moved well; 2 Baker’s Pacolito Phormula One, taller than 1, good head, topline & coat, moved well; 3 Pell’s Cassacre Sea Urchin at Olliebark. PD (7) 1 Smith & Moon’s Alncroft Blackthorn, fabulous throughout, excellent head & ear placement, good lay of shoulder & coat, correct tailset, good angulation to rear, correct size & good bone for size, moved well, I had no hesitation in awarding him CC & BOB; 2 Hooley’s Hoolmark Johnny Ringo, lovely head markings, nice size, moved well. Just not the coat of 1, but should have a promising future; 3 Bygate’s Windynook Temptation. JD (2) 1 Chapman’s Foxwarren Finder, very smart young dog, good head & markings, good front & tailset, nice size, moved well; 2 Johnson & Steel’s Garsayno Yum Yum, strong head, a little bold in eye. Good front, nice tailset & moved well. PGD (3) 1 Frost-Copping & Davies’ Goldfern Grand Lad, good head & a nice size, a little deep in chest, but still spannable. Good coat, moved well; 2 Sutton’s Pacolito Persona at Springbank, nice head & size, a little short in neck. Coat not as good as 1. Moved well; 3 Eastwood’s Pacolito Preshous. LD (4) 1 Farrow’s Glenholm Happy Go Lucky, nice size, good head & keen expression with good markings, good coat, moved well. RCC; 2 Sollis’ Mister Bonamonty, good size, nice head, more laid back than 1, good bone. Would have preferred a little more upper arm. Good coat; 3 Hooley’s Hoolmark Ready To Rock. OD (5) 1 Chapman’s Foxwarren Buddy, nice size Terrier type, good head & bone for size, good coat, moved well; 2 Pell’s Olliebark Star Performer, similar to 1, 5 years, good head & coat, moved well; 3 Denby-Gardner’s Ammanday Augury. MPB (5) 1 Duke & Gill’s Rushden Mirror Image, fabulous minor puppy, lovely feminine head, correct size, good coat texture & bone, moved OK when settled, a very bright future ahead of her. RCC; 2 Baker’s Pacolito Persistant, could change places on another day, of very similar type to 1. Coat not as good as 1 yet. Moved well; 3 Smith’s Bethane Liberton Lassie. PB (3) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Numero Uno, very nice puppy of good size, nice head & markings, good coat, moved well; 2 Broadberry’s Ratscallion Legal Tactics, good head & size, would have preferred more upper arm. Moved OK, coat not as good as 1. JB (4) 1 Sutton’s Pacolito Maid A Phortune at Springbeck, caught my eye when she entered the ring, lovely head, fabulous coat of good size & bone, overall a well balanced bitch, moved well. CC; 2 Swift & Parr’s Pacolito Poket Rocket, nice feminine bitch, good size & head, good coat. Just a little out in elbow; 3 Dolman’s Pacolito Phirstpick to Maxtay. PGB (8) 1 P Maid A Phortune at S; 2 Bygate’s Windynook Rhythm Is A Dancer, nice size, good front, good head & markings, good tailset, moved well; 3 Davies’ Goldfern Grand Cru. LB (5) 1 Bigland’s Heythrop Tiadrop, nice sized bitch, good coat & front, nice head, moved OK; 2 Chapman’s Foxwarren Lynton Lady, similar type to 1, good size, nice head & markings, good coat. Just lost out to 1 with rear movement; 3 Davies’ Goldfern Glory. OB (6) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Picpoket at Spellbert, very nice, good head & markings, good size & bone, moved well; 2 Smith & Moon’s Alncroft Everlong, strong headed, a little too masculine for me. Good size & coat, moved well; 3 Denby-Gardner’s Ammanday Apparition. |
