PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 16

Parson Russell Terriers

Many thanks to the society for inviting me to judge at the show, we were blessed with lovely weather & the ring was in great condition. We were a little later getting in the ring than expected & I think this showed in a few of the dogs. I appreciated the entries from all the exhibitors & hopefully you enjoyed your day. Type was very varied & made selection difficult.

JD (2,1a)

1 Bigland’s Ardencote Tutor with Heythrop, 15 months. In decent proportion throughout, balanced & good on length height ratio. Good pelt, however short on jacket today. Wedge head, dark eye & good ears. Front OK & with ample rear angulation. Good topline & tailset. Adequate body with decent muscletone. Moved OK. RBD.

OD (4)

1 Baker’s Pacolito Special Edition, 15 month male. Stood out in the class, oozing breed type. Striking head, wedged, flat skull, balanced, shallow stop, dark expressive eye, strong jaw & with big teeth, more than capable of doing the job they were designed for. Lovely length of neck, clean, muscular, leading into a well placed shoulders & decent front. Good ribbing & strong back. Tail well set. Nicely angulated rear, good bend of stifle & low hocks. Good muscletone with decent second thigh. Gave an overall balanced picture with nothing overdone. Was lacking a little in coat today & this would have completed the perfect picture. Spannable, with good pelt. Moved well, covering the ground in a workmanlike fashion. BD & BOB;

2 Denby Gardner’s Tubize Mr Wriggle at Ammanday, up to size male, but overall of good type. OK in head, eye & bite. Good neck. Well angled front & rear. Ample body & tailset OK. Moved steadily;

3 Roberts’ Spellbert By Gone Times.

PB (3)

1 Baker’s Pacolito Protocool, 6 months raw puppy at her first show. Very typy. Good head, eye & teeth. Lovely neck leading into well made front. Good length to height ratio. Good ribbing, well set tail. Lovely rear angulation a low hocks. Easily spannable. Moved really well for one so young, true both ways & keeping her level topline. Should do well. BP;

2 Newport’s Digaden Just So, 7 month youngster. Not the movement of 1. Well matured for age. Good head & neck. Well bodied throughout. Good in front angulation & decent rear with low hocks;

3 Roberts’ Lady Loveta Le Fay.

JB (4)

1 Porter’s Pacolito Italian Phaze, good for type. Lovely head, eye & ears. Well off for bone, well made & well bodied throughout. Decent front & ample rear angulations. Spannable, thick pelt & decent jacket. A little more length would improve overall balance. Best mover in the class. RBB;

2 D Just So;

3 Bigland’s Ardencote Teach In with Heythrop. PGB (1) 1 Walker’s Matsstars Moonshine, 2 year old. Feminine head, would prefer a little more strength. Good length to height proportions. Spannable. Rear angles OK, however moved tight behind. Sporting a harsh jacket.

OB (3)

1 Newport’s Digaden Made To Measure, pleasing head, with good eye & teeth. Decent neck, shoulders Ok & straight front. Well bodied throughout. Tail well set. Good rear angulations. Moved OK both ways. BB;

2 Bull’s Rymshott Goggles at Aurgwen, lovely head & eye. Little heavier in front than 1. Good for type & size & shorter in back than 1. Well angled rear. Moved true;

3 Fielding’s Matsstars Ladys Mantle at Starfield.
