PARSON RUSSELL SKC AUGUST 09 Judge(s) MR ROGER WRIGHT DCC STARS AND STRIPES (MR D, MRS L & MR D C ROBERTS & TODD) Parson Russell Terriers It was lovely to judge Parsons again. There was plenty of quality in the puppy classes which augers well for the future. Many decisions were decided on movement, with some good ones just not getting their act together. PD (5,1a) 1 Steel’s Garsayno Yum Yum, stylish youngster with type & balance, decent balance to head which can develop under the eye & muzzle to effect, A1 front & forehand, excellent body shape, depth & quarters, a picture both standing & moving. With further development, should have a bright future. BP; 2 Bygate’s Windynook Init To Winit, very nice sort, but unsettled & lacked fluency. Lots of quality, excellent head & front, good body & rib, good size & substance, sound; 3 Leslie’s Glendream Harry Potter. JD (5) 1 Hooley’s Hoolmark Ready To Rock, high quality, lovely type & balance, quality head, excellent forehand, good body & rib, spannable with good pelt, excellent coat & condition, moved & showed, should have a future; 2 Morrison’s Brozak Archie, close up, very nice with quality, although only just spans so that needs watching. Moved & showed well; 3 Liddell’s Alncroft Arctik. LD (1) 1 Roberts & Todd’s Stars And Stripes, top drawer for quality, type & balance, lovely head properties, A1 front & fore, good body shape, well made up ribbing, excellent let down & feet with good set on, A1 coat & condition, fluent & covering ground. CC & BOB. OD (2) 1 Baker’s Giftrapped of Lovealoch to Pacolito, lovely, balanced sort with good head, eye, bite & teeth, excellent front & fore, well ribbed, excellent tone to quarters, excellent coat & condition. Sound, but not so free in fore. RCC; 2 Samway’s Cassacre Mandolin, moderate sort with good head properties, forehand & body, straight in stifle. Restricted movement. PB (7,1) The best class of the day with several very promising pups. 1 Roberts & Murray’s Mindlen Matuka, classic sort, teeming with quality, I understand I awarded her mum BOB last time, lovely keen, but feminine outlook, presenting a smashing picture. Sound & fluent if, expectedly, a little juvenile at times. One for the future. BP & RCC; 2 Bygate’s Windynook Rythm Is A Dancer, very close up, top drawer make & shape, lovely size, excellent muscling, coat & condition, sound & true; 3 Baker’s Pacolito Phlattery. JB (1) 1 Rimmer’s Kylini Spellsabound, decent sort with positives, good shape, good in head, but spoilt by earset. OK in front. Shoulder blades could fit tighter onto the chest wall. Spans well with good body & rib, sound. PGB (3,1) Two moderate sorts with 1 just being better in conformation than 2. 1 Leslie’s Dillorto Fruity Candy among Windwalker; 2 Farrow’s Halshimoor Final Fling. LB (3) 1 Steel’s Garsayno The Dancer, lovely typical make, overall quality & bone, good head, lovely front & fore, good topline, body & ribbing, excellent angulation, A1 coat & condition, especially in overall muscletone, moved & showed; 2 Samway’s Saucy Nancy Cassacre, nice sort, good balance. Preferred type of 1. In good form & well handled. Sound, but just hocking a touch; 3 Hooley’s Mindlen Blue Bottle at Hoolmark. OB (3) 1 Swift & Parr’s Pacolito Picture Monkey, top quality make & shape, excellent symmetry all through, lovely, feminine head, excels in front & fore with excellent shape, body & rib, nicely defined quarters. Could just reach a little more to effect. Sound & true. CC; 2 Baker’s Pacolito X Rated, close up & a lovely sort, just not putting her best foot forward. Well headed, excellent forehand, well ribbed, good topline, excellent presentation, well muscled. Sound but not fluent; 3 Rimmer’s Kylini Mythnmyst. Breeder Baker. ROGER WRIGHT
