PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE RICHMOND 17

I was pleased with the entry and found some worthy winners for the main awards. My main concern was that very few exhibits had a thick loose pelt. The best pelt was on the winner of Veteran Bitch.

VD (1)

1. Hall's Frithgarth Jack Frost. In good shape for 11 and half years, well angulated and wearing plentiful rough coat and good pelt.

PD (5,2)

1. Foster and Fuller's Hoolmark Paleface. Unsettled on the table but I forgive this in a puppy. I liked his make and shape, head of good proportions and he had a harsh coat and good pelt. He moved out really well for a baby. Very promising.

2. Broadberry's Ratscallion Son of a Gun Well marked smooth coat and good overall body shape. Straight front. Head qualities OK but I preferred the stronger head of 1.

3. Frithgarth Stone Meadow.

JD (3)

1. Newport's Digaden Pitch Perfect. Rough coated all white with tan head. A quality exhibit with pleasing outline and balanced angulation. Nicely proportioned wedge shape head with neat ears and keen expression. Spannable body and good pelt. Moved out straight and true. RCC.

2. Broadberry's Mindlen Magnum at Ratscallion This puppy was also of top quality. Correctly constructed throughout. Liked his lenghth of neck into well placed shoulder, good topline and tailset. Very pleasing wedge head and keen expression. BPD and BP.

3. Bigland's Heythrop Taggart.

LD (4,2)

1. Bigland's Ardencote Tutor with Heythrop. Smooth coated white with tan markings. Well constructed all through. Good shoulder and rear angulation and in very fit condition. Straight front and compact feet. Strong wedge head and keen expression. Moved with purpose.

2. Yerbury's Beauforts Charles James. Straight front, good rough coat, topline and angulation.

OD (3,1)

1. Baker's Ch. Pacolito Protolythic. An impressive exhibit. Fitted the breed standard in every way. He moved out straight and true. CC and BOB.

2. Kannangara's Sherosco Lucky Lad 9 and half years. Over deep and heavy in front. Low set tail. Head qualities OK.

VB (2,1)

1. Meyer's Boughton Bliss for Coclestane. Hard to span now at 10 years but she is well balanced. Shown in good coat with super pelt. Liked her wedge head and keen expression. She moved out really well both here and in the challenge to win BV.

PB (6,1)

1. Kirby's Pacolito Recent Rumour.Sweet puppy, very appealing. Well made throughout with balanced angulation. Good topline and tailset. Feminine head of pleasing shape and expression.

2. Digaden Runner Bean. Close up to 1. Also a lovely feminine pup full of good qualities. Well constructed throughout, good shoulder and rear angulation. Attractive head qualities.

3. Dayman's Pacoliti Phinal Edition.

PGB (1)

1. Hall's Frithgarth Sky Lantern. A sound bitch, well balanced and good angulation with a rough coat and good pelt. Difficult to span but she moved well.

LB (3,1)

1. Collis' Riplington Dream Image. Well constructed with good angulation, topline and tailset. Stronger in foreface than 2.

2 Meyer's Coclestane Cinnamon. Straight front and good rear angulation. Not so good in shoulder placement as 1.

OB (7,2)

Very little between the first two, both are of top quality.

1. Baker's Pacolito Protocool. First class construction and angulation. Straight front, excellent topline and tailset. Easily spanned, super harsh coat with good pelt. Feminine wedge shape head. Moved straight and true. CC.

2. Newport's Digaden Just So. All the above qualities apply. Just preferred reach of neck on 1. RCC.

3. Bowden's Pacolito Mistress at Llyunmill.

Having achieved 80 years on my last birthday I have decided that I will no longer accept CC appointments. I wish you well for the future of the breed and will continue to watch with interest.
