PARSON RUSSELL MANCHESTER 2010 Judge: Mrs F A Somerfield PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE MANCHESTER 10 Parson Russell Terriers A fair number of exhibits had been stripped out for Crufts which put them at a disadvantage here. PD (10,3a) 1 Tagg’s Ratscallion Airman, well balanced, good head & ears, very nice expressive eyes, good bone & limbs, strong thighs, nice coat, moved well. BP; 2 Swift & Parr’s Spellbert Captain Jack, good head & eyes, neat ears, nice topline, promising hindquarters, good tail, moved out well. Not as ready for the show ring as 1; 3 Hooley’s Hoolmark Johnny Ringo. JD (4) 1 Sutton’s Pacolito Persona at Springbeck, pleasing head & eye, good neck, shoulders. Needs to make up over the loin. Good turn of stifle, moved out well; 2 Hill, Muckle & Speight’s Mindlen Capercailllie, good body, firmer in loin than 1 & good bone, coat in nice condition. Not just as pleasing in head & a touch restricted in movement; 3 Selby & Ward’s Jacksden Spot On. PGD (4,1) 1 Liddell’s Alncroft Arctik, good strength in head, neat ears, nice eyes, scored in coat, good hindquarters, moved OK. Standing looked a little slack in front, can carry a little more condition. Nice size; 2 Culter & Hughes’ Trumpmoor Exmoor Jimny, good for type & balance but right out of coat. Not so good in ears & has some missing teeth which just spoils his foreface. Moved soundly; 3 Highfield’s Bradpole Beau of Guestwick. LD (5) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Bespoke, fit & vital, making the most of himself standing & moving, masculine head without coarseness, good coat, nice bone & feet. Tail carriage could be better; 2 Tagg’s Rymshott Tactic, shapely but still needs to make up over the loin. Good muscle but tends to droop too much in hindquarters. Nice forehand & neat feet; 3 Hooley’s Hoolmark Ready To Rock. OD (4,1) 1 Roberts & Todd’s Stars and Stripes, very good moving dog, pleasing head & eyes, very good forehand, good neck, shoulders, bone, legs & feet, in good coat. RCC; 2 Tagg’s Rymshott Strider, very well coupled & stood well, good thighs, intense expression. Not just the forehand of 1 but very good hindquarters; 3 Chapman’s Foxwarren Buddy. VD (4) 1 Brown & Grange’s Ch Afinlea Roadside Skipper, he may be nearly 8 but he is so hard & fit, in wonderful condition, good front & hindquarters, pleasing head & expression, good coat, moved & showed to perfection. CC & BOB; 2 Rimmer’s Ch/Ir/Int Ch Kylini Celtic Wizzard, I also liked very much but at nearly 10 was carrying that bit of extra weight over his shoulders. Still fit & vital, good body & rib, excellent hindquarters; 3 Doyle’s Alne Master Piece of Ilexquercus. PB (5,1) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Je Ne Sais Quoi, very nice 6 month baby, pleasing head, good topline & tail carriage, well made hindquarters, nice forehand, held herself well; 2 Roberts & Todd’s Shooting Star over Chataway, also 6 month, has slightly more length of leg & needs time to get that extra body & bone to balance this but is promising. Good temperament & moves out well; 3 Towler’s Andralok Dazzler. JB (5) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Phlattery, good bitch, in lovely coat & condition, good front, bone, legs & feet, nice strong thighs, moved true, pleasing head & ears; 2 Rimmer’s Kylini Spellsabound, not as ready in coat & condition but is feminine. Good front, nice topline & tail, good firm hindquarters; 3 Roberts & Murray’s Mindlen Matuka. PGB (7) 1 K Spellsabound; 2 Chen’s Pacolito Phaithfull, could be a little more feminine but well made & in good condition. Nice front, legs & feet, moved soundly; 3 Kannangara’s Parruss Twist of Lemon. LB (5,1) 1 Hill, Muckle & Speight’s Ardencote Tamanu, nicely balanced, good bone, body & rib, well made hindquarters, good coat; 2 Baker’s Pacolito Persuit, great showgirl, good body & rib, very good hindquarters, in good coat, very expressive. Just a touch heavy in front; 3 Chapman’s Foxwarren Lynton Lady. OB (7,1) 1 Johnson’s Ch Garsayno Tutti Fruiti, very neat, pleasing bitch, good head, eye & ears, nice coat & condition, looked the part standing & moving. CC; 2 Rimmer’s Kylini Mythnmyst, very nice bitch but right out of coat. However she moved so well I had to place her higher than I normally would. Very good head & expression; 3 Baker’s Pacolito X Rated. VB(2) 1 Copping’s Badgergrove Rose-e-lee, neat, feminine, 7½ year old who looked very nice & moved out well. Feet not so good now otherwise I liked her very much. RCC; 2 Pell’s Starlight Express at Olliebark, feminine 9½ year old, nice coat, well bodied, nice thighs. Not so keen to show now. |
